The Summary of the story on how Odin lost his eye .

Odin lost his eye because he wants to protect humans from evil giant’s frost. For him to acquire
knowledge of the future, Odin must sip the special water of a well. This water gave him vision,
and or prophesy of the past, and the future. In order for Odin to drink the water, he needs to give
his one eye to Mimir the guardian of the well. One eye of Odin is considered as a great price for
the water and so Odin accepted the requirement and the deal. He then promptly removed his one
eye and gave it to Mimir. And so he drinks the water after drinking he sees bad thing happened in
the future. He sees the pain, sorrow, and death for humans. He also sees that it will be saved by an
event of a great promise. Odin's eyes settle at the bottom of Mimir’s well as a reminder of Odin’s
great heroic action for humans.

Odin’s Characteristics:

Bravery
Love for humans
Hero
Determination
Lessons of the story:

We should always show love for others in some other ways, not necessarily we also removed our
eyes like what Odin did in the story.
We should think not only of ourselves but also the welfare of others.
We can obtain something if we are determined to do what is required. Not necessarily we pluck
our eyes. The story of Odin is just a reminder for all of us.
Sacrifices for our family and others is a great fulfillment.
