 To promote collaborative work amongst
students.
 To promote intensive reading through
research.
 To gain expertise and confidence in
delivering high impact presentations.
Why Pecha Kucha format?
This activity involves many of the active skills that are
globally demanded in the 21st century such as:
 Innovation and creativity: Impress and surprise your
audience by selecting a topic that may be well
known but presented under a novel, different
perspective.
 Intensive and selected media reading research:
Gain digital literacy by selecting reliable sources to
boost your presentation.
Why Pecha Kucha format?
 Collaborative work: Multiply your potential by
collaborating and helping each other.
 Conciseness and Organization: In just 7 minutes be
able to seduce your audience and keep their
attention and interest by delivering a high impact
presentation, where the quality of your speech is
based on what you say and how you deliver your
speech to capture the audience attention
(pronunciation, tone of voice, as well as your body
language do matter!!).

reading research which
has to be cited, and your

Pecha Kucha format sequence
• Introduce the topic in an attractive, unexpected way

in what you say and the sequence of pictures you
show.

• Close your presentation by drawing a conclusion or


inviting your audience to deepen into the topic even
more. Your final slide should display your reading
sources.
