Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of; East Asian literature as an art from
inspired and influenced by nature; relationship of visual, sensory, and verbal signals in both
literary and expository texts; strategies in listening to long descriptive and narrative texts;
value of literal and figurative language; and appropriate grammatical signals or expressions
suitable to patterns of idea development.

Performance Standard;
The learner transfers learning by composing and delivering a brief and creative
paragraphs, appropriate grammatical signals or expressions in topic development, and
appropriate prosodic, features, stance, and behavior.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. define and give an example of cause and effect;
2. write their own cause and effect;
3. identify every statements of writing task that show cause and effect and;
4. show awareness on the issues and problems encountered by the Filipinos.
II. Subject Matter
A. Topic - Cause and Effect Relationship
B. References -K to 12 Curriculum Guide, Google ( www.teach-nology.com), (study.com),
( K12reader.com).
C. Materials - Laptop, TV-Monitor,Chalk, bond paper.
D. Time- 2 hrs.

pictures of problems here in the Philippines.
Upon seeing the picture that assigned to your
group you will describe what happens and why
it happens. You can explain, give examples or
consequences of an idea for that event. You
will discuss that here in front of the class.

- (Group 1) Ma’am the picture shows the


recent incident which is forest fire in Amazon.
Many of us felt sad about what happened. We
heard from the news that 20% of “greens” can
be found in the Amazon.It helps a lot specially
now that we have global warning. According
to the news the fire started because of some
irresponsible people(campers)that left their fire
from their camp.
For the air that we breathe, the animals that
destroyed their homes because of the fire.
We are scared if the Amazon destroyed we will
be facing bigger problem in our environment.

C. Activity
-Before we proceed to our discussion can I
have 4 volunteers from each group.

-Here’s what you are going to do. I have
here jumbled phrases/ words. You will arrange
it so that you will complete the thought of the
sentence.Arrange it for two minutes.

- Let us look for the answer/s of group 1.

- Earlier Bri said that they look for the
keywords just to complete the sentence. The -Ma’am he will attract a female.

signaling words.
- From the sentences on the board can you give
me which are the signaling words? Yes Abby.

-Very good Abby.
- Now you already know the cause and effect
let us have this, Cause and Effect Match! Get
your activity notebook and answer what’s on
the screen.

- Let us answer.
- Another activity on a one half sheet of paper
crosswise you will create five sentences of
cause and effect, of your own using the current
events. Am I understood?

E. Application

- Get long bond paper and from the previous


lesson about “The aged mother” you will make
a cause and effect graphic organizer. You will
be graded by those rubrics.
