Detailed Lesson Plan in English

I. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Identify noun in a sentence or paragraph.
2. Organize the given words if it’s a name of place, things, animals, or an ideas.
3. Write a sentence and identify its noun.

A. Daily Routine

1. Prayer - Pupils stand and pray

show to you the letter, all you have to
do is to say a name – of a person
animal, place, thing or ideas that begin
with that letter, for example, when I
show the letter “C” you can say “cat”,
“car”, “cake”, “cash’, “Carmina” or
“Cebu”

- The right side will be the group one


and this side will be the group two. - The pupils do the activity

- Mechanics of the game;


1. Each group will form a straight line
2. Be quick to answer
3. Raise flag if you know the answer
4. The one who got the correct answer
will move to the end of the line
5. The one who didn’t get the right
answer
will remain until he/she give the

- Remember when you first started


school? Your teacher probably labeled
things in the room with their names.
There was a neatly printed name card
for each child in the class too. Many

you learned to read. Everything you
can name is a noun! Nouns are
extremely important words. Today
We are going to learn more about
noun.
2. Activity

a. Listening

- Listen as the verse of the poem is read.


What four things does the poet name Moor, sea, heather, wave
that she has never seen? How can she
know what each one is? Suppose you Search the internet,
are writing such a poem. List at least
four similar things that you know but Milky way, meteor, planets, black hole
have never seen.

b. Speaking

- Look at the picture how many of things


the poet names are shown in this
picture? What nouns name other
things in the picture?

3. Presentation

a. Recognizing nouns

- A noun is a word that names a person,


a place, a thing, or an idea. When a
noun names an idea, it names
something that cannot be touched, like
time, friendship, anger, or summer.

- Can you give another name of an idea? Love , hungry courage, peace

Ex. Robert will have fun at Long Rink


with his new skates.

- A noun can be made up of more than


one word.
