Comparatives and superlative (Advance)

That’s the biggest mansión I’ve ever seen.
visto)

B Podemos hacer comparaciones con sustantivos simple.

The kitchen is bigger than the bathroom.

Houses are cheaper than they used to be (las casas son mas baratas de los que

Property is getting cheaper and cheaper. (La propiedad se están haciendo más barata
y mas barata)

D Usamos The…, the… y el comparative para decir que una cosas cambia con
otra.

The closer you are to the center, the more you pay in rent (entre más cerca estás
del cerca, mas pagas en arriendo)

E Usualmente usamos more y most para formar adverbios comparativos y

superlativos. Sin embargo, nosotros añadimos –er y –est a algunos adverbios
cortos.

The flat sold more quickly than I expected ( el departamento se vendió mas
rapidamente de lo que yo esperaba)

Houses sell faster in the Spring ( las casas se venden más rápido en Primavera)

F Al igual que con more and most, podemos usar less y least con adjetivos
largos, adverbios y sustantivos incontables

This is the least spacious house in the road (Esta es la casa menos espaciosa en el
camino)

There’s less space in my room than in yours. (Hay menos espacio en mi cuarto que
en el tuyo)

G Usamos fewer y fewest con sustantivos contables.

Which flat has the fewest rooms?
cuartos)

There are fewer big flats in the town centre. (Hay menos departamentos grandes en
el centro del pueblo)
