Addition Hills Integrated School: A. Content Standard B. Performance Standard C. Learning Competencies
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of circle and coordinate
geometry.
B. Performance The learner is able to is able to formulate and find solutions to challenging situations
Standard involving circles and other related terms in different disciplines.
C. Learning The learner derives inductively the relations among chords, arcs, central angles, and
Competencies inscribes angles.-M10GE-IIc-1
IV. PROCEDURES
Group Activity: Pictionary
Mechanics: Each group will have their turns in playing the game. They will be given
2 minutes each to play. First, each group should pick a member who will draw the
words they will get from strips of paper in a box. Once, the other members have
guessed what their representative have drawn, the representative can get more strips
of paper for them to draw and their members to guess, so that they can earn more
A. Review previous
lesson and skills points during the allotted time. The group with the most earned points will get a
prize.
Most of the objects to be drawn are circle in shape, for example; plate, clock, wheel
and etc.
B. Establishing the
purpose of the
lesson
C. Approaches/
Strategies drill, class discussion, board work, timed test and pair-share

Naming the parts of a circle by its Lines, Line Segment, Angle and Arc
Line- a line is an infinitely thin, infinitely long collection of points extending in two
opposite directions. A B
Line can be named like this; 𝐴𝐵 ⃡
E. Discussing new
concepts and
practicing new Line Segment- has two endpoints. It contains these endpoints and all the points of
skill#2 the line between them.
Example:
A B line segment

Minor arc
Example:
̂ while the major arc can be named like 𝐵𝐶𝐴
the minor arc can be named like 𝐵𝐴 ̂.
Angle- the space (usually measured in degrees) between two intersecting lines or
surfaces at or close to the point where they meet.
Example:
can be named by putting this angle symbol AOC CBA
