Format Chapter 4
This chapter seeks to answer the questions stated on the statement of the problem. Thus,
this presented the data gathered by the researchers in terms of its demographic profile, factors
affecting the lifestyle of people residing in barangay Buensuceso Sitio Salvacion Ibaba Gumaca
Quezon in terms of population growth, lack of education, financial status, and physical aspect.
The data gathered from the respondents is presented through graphs and tables.
Part I.
The frequency distribution of the respondents in terms of their sex. It shows that the male
consist of 33 respondents which is 66% of the total population while the female consist of 17

The graphical distribution of the respondents in terms of their sex. There are 50
respondents which consist of male and female. Male dominates the population as it compromises
the 64% of the total population or 33 males while females are 33 which is the 34% of the total
population.
This result shows that the number of male respondents are larger than the female
respondents which is the people residing in Barangay Buensuceso Sitio Salvacion Ibaba Gumaca
Quezon.

The frequency distribution of the respondents in terms of their age. It shows that the
respondents with the age of 18 and 20 are 0 while the respondents with the age of 23 is 3 which
is the 4% of the total population. And the respondents with the age of 25 above is 47 which is the

Table 3 shows the frequency distribution of the respondents in terms of number of their
family member. This shows that the 5 respondents have 5 members of the family which is 10%
of the total population, the other 10 respondents have 6 members of the family which is the 20%
of the total population, other 7 respondents have 7 members of the family which is 14% of the
total population, and the other 28 respondents have 8 above members of the family which is the

Figure 4 presents the graphical distribution of the respondents in terms of the number of
their family members. This shows that the majority of the respondents are having 8 above
members of the family with 28 respondents or 56% and the minority of the respondents are
having 5 members of the family with 5 respondents or 10%. The other respondents are having 6
members of the families and 7 members of the families with the respondents of 10 or 20% and 7

Table 4 shows the frequency distribution of the respondents in terms of number of their
occupation. This shows that the respondents with a work of construction worker are 2
respondents which is the 4% of the total population, the teacher and plumber are 0, the carpenter
are 3 which is the 6% of the total population of the respondents, the municipal employee are 2
which is the 4% also of the total population, the fishermen are 13 which is the 26% of the total
population, the driver of any vehicle are 21 which is the 42% of the total population, the welder
are 2 which is the 4% also of the total population and the other 7 respondents which is the 14%

Figure 5 presents the graphical distribution of the respondents in terms of the number of
their occupation. This shows that the construction workers, municipal employee and welder are
the least number of the respondents which is 2 or the 4% of the total population of every
occupation. The 3 respondents or the 6% of the total population are carpenters, the 13
respondents or the 26% of the total population are fishermen, the 21 respondents which is the
higher number of the respondents or the 42% of the total population have works of driver of any
vehicle and the other 7 respondents or the 14% of the total population have other works. None of

the respondents have 3 no. of household and the last respondents which only 1 or the 2% of the

Table 6 shows the distribution of the respondents in terms of monthly income. It says that
half of all 50 respondents which is 25 respondents or the 50% of the total population of the
respondents have 9,000 pesos income monthly. The other 12 respondents or the 24% of the total
population have monthly income of 8,000 pesos, the 7 respondents or the 14% of the total
population have monthly income of 5,000 pesos, the 3 respondents or the 6% of the total
population have monthly income of 6,000 pesos, the 2 respondents or the 4% of the total

Figure 7 shows the graphical representation on the distribution of the respondents in their
demographic profile in term of their monthly income. It shows that there are more respondents
that have monthly income of 9,000 which is half of 50 respondents or the 50% of the total
population and least number of respondents that have monthly income of 10,000 pesos is only

shows that the 26 respondents or the 52% of the total population lived in their place for 12 years,
the respondents that lived for 11 years in their place are 17 respondents or the34% of the total
population. The other 3 respondents and 4 respondents or the 6% and 8% of the total population
are live in their place for about 10 years below and 13 years above.

attainment. It shows that 2 of the respondents or the 4% of the total population got educational
attainment of elementary, the respondents that got educational attainment of high school are 42
respondents or the 84% of the total population of the respondents and the other 6 respondents or
educational attainment. It shows that there are more respondents that have educational attainment
of high school which is 42 respondents or the 84% of the total population of the respondents.
And the least number of the respondents and have educational attainment of elementary are 2

The distribution of the respondents in terms of factors affecting the lifestyle of people
residing in barangay Buensuceso Sitio Salvacion Ibaba Gumaca Quezon. This shown that the
statement number 17 which is “Having a disability affects my daily lifestyle” has the higher
weighted mean which is 4.18 leading to the rank 1 and it has a verbal description of strongly
lifestyle” and it has a weighted mean of 4.10 with a verbal description of agree. The statement
number 11 is the rank 3 which is “My monthly salary is not enough in my monthly expenses”
and it has a weighted mean of 4.00 with a verbal description of agree. Rank 4 is the statement
number 1 and number 12 which is “The number of families affects our daily lifestyle” and
“Having a low salary affects my daily lifestyle according to in my daily needs” and it has a
weighted mean of 3.98 with a verbal description of both agree. The statement number 4 is the
rank 5 which is “Bigger size of household can have a great impact behind all of our action”. It
has weighted mean of 3.88 and its verbal description is agree also. The rank number 6 in table I
is the statement number 2 which is “Having a large of population affects our daily lifestyle” and
the statement number 3 which is “living with a large number of people from a small community
can affects our morals and values” is also a rank number 6, having the same mean of 3.86 with a
verbal description of both agree. The statement number 13 is the rank number 7 which is
“Shortage of finance forces me to loan”. Its weighted mean is 3.84 and its verbal description is
agree also. The rank number 8 is the statement number 7 which is “Being lack of education

affects me in terms of finding a good job”. And its weighted mean is 3.83 with verbal description
of agree. Rank number 9 is the statement number 14 which is “having a high salary affects my
daily lifestyle according in my daily needs”. Its weighted mean is 3.80 with a verbal description
of agree. Statement number 6 is the rank number 10 which is “I am not a college graduate and it
affects my daily lifestyle according to my everyday needs. Its weighted mean is 3.76 with a
verbal description of agree also. Rank number 11 is the statement number 10 which is “Being
lack of education greatly affects my academic reasoning” and it has a weighted mean of 3.72
with a verbal description of agree. The statement number 5 is the rank number 12 which is “A
group of people in a small community can influence everyone’s perspective in life, and lead to
the same way of acting as one community. Its weighted mean is 3.70 with a verbal description of
agree. There are 3 statements in rank number 13 and they are all have the same mean. The first
statement is the statement number 9 which is “Being uneducated leads our family into poor
lifestyle”, the second statement is the statement number 15 which is “Shortage of finance leads
us into poor lifestyle” and the last one in the statements rank number 13 is that, the statement
number 20 which is “having disability discourage me to work. They’re weighted mean is that
2.64 with a verbal description of agree, but the except the statement number 20 which is resulted
that it is the rank number 13 also. And its verbal description if neutral. The statement number 18
is the rank number 14 which is My environment contribute on how I live, its weighted mean is
3.46 and its verbal description is agree. The rank number 15is the statement number 19 which is
“Having disability makes you feel useless” has weighted mean of 3.26 with a verbal description
and it the one that have least weighted mean of 3.26 with a verbal description of neutral. It is also
the one that leads to the least weighted mean of all the statements got.
