This class is a brief introduction to
Word. It consists of 2 one and one half hour sessions. By the end
of this class you should be able to create a simple document and
manipulate its appearance and text Word is very useful in creating
documents such as letters, resumes, brochures, flyers or invitations

Materials Needed:
Materials/Specialized
Equipment Needed  Microsoft Office
 Black board
 Chalk
 Duster

Equipment:
Computer for each student.
 Begin the lesson with asking about their previous knowledge of

Microsoft Word.

Main tasks or activities


1. The teacher created a challenging task to encourage students
learn and feel exiting at the same time, through let the
students go to their class website and follow challenging
steps. Then students must work in group to complete their
task and get a group point.
2. The teacher will review the lesson to the students through ask
them why they are learn how to add text, change font size, font
color and font face in Microsoft word program? Then inform
students that they have homework in the website, which is type
a nice text about UAE with a nice formatting, print it and give it
to me next class. Finally, give them time to complete the lesson
 What are do you understand by word processing
Students Assessment
 How can you start ms word on your system?
 Type few lines on your school with formatting of font size, colour,
word art, adding bullets or numbering , borders, background and insert
a school picture in your document
 Write all the steps you are using to make your document in your
notebook.
