Other Technical Details: 1. Origin of The Proposal

This document proposes a water leakage detection system using multiple flow rate sensors connected to a microcontroller. The system aims to minimize water wastage from leaks by detecting differences in flow rates between subsequent sensors. If the difference is above a threshold, the microcontroller signals a solenoid valve to stop the flow and alerts the user. It also logs data to allow users to track water usage. The document reviews existing solutions using pressure sensors and outlines the methodology, which involves attaching flow sensors in the water flow path and using a microcontroller to constantly monitor differences in sensor data. It proposes a time schedule and outlines the expertise of investigators to implement objectives related to developing the system.

1. Origin of the Proposal: (Maximum 1 page)

(Scientific rationale for doing this work should be elaborated)
In generally water leakage is the most warming issue in the world more than 70 percentages
has been wasted due to the lack of notification in different area. Water is a valuable resource and
leak from underground pipes are not just our responsibility property owners are responsible for
some or all of the pipe works below the ground that connects their property to the water supply
system. Conservation of water is one of the major objectives for any country around the world.
Water management plays a very important role in a society, as it is one of the basic needs for the
mankind. Water supplied for human consumption must be highly efficient with minimum wastage.
In a developing country like India, loss of water in domestic sector on account of leakage is
approximately 30 to 40 percentage of the total flow in the distribution. This leads to high risks
in public health, money invested and on t h e valuable natural resource. India had an irrigation
efficiency of 36 percent in 1993-1994 and the existing water supply systems incorporate high
range acoustic and pressure detection devices are way costlier to be implemented in developing
countries. Some irrigation leak detection systems use heating coils to detect the flow rate
difference which has a drawback of detecting the fast change over in the system due to the uniform
response of the temperature sensor. Some other systems use the flow sensors to measure the flow
rate. This single parameter does not help in stopping leakage in the system. In this paper, a flow
sensor based system integrated with micro controller to detect the leak due to breakage has been
discussed. This system is designed to prevent the further leakage of water flowing through the pipe
line. This paper is organized in the order of methodology which explains the working of the
system, components used to build the system and the results which signify the efficient leakage
prevention based on a prototype. Using the flow meter is not yet accurate in small leakage.
The water supply pipe for which we are response for some or all of the pipes works to the
water supply system.
Water is a valuable resource and leaks from underground pipes can waste large amounts of
water and money and they could damage your property. Underground pipes are not just our
responsibility; property owners are responsible for some, or all, of the pipe work below ground
that connects their property to the water supply system.
The water supply pipe for which you are responsible is probably one of the most important assets
of your household. Experience has shown us that when purchasing a property, customers are not
always aware that they are responsible for the maintenance and replacement of this pipework.
This only becomes apparent as and when it becomes defective. It is important to remember that as
the supply pipe of a property is underground, this is not easily maintained.
In most cases it becomes problematic due to wear and tear and subsequent deterioration of the
pipe work over a lengthy period of time. Like most items that you would buy for use within the
home, your supply pipe will only have an average life span and will begin to cause problems if it
has never been maintained or replaced.
As you are reading this leaflet, it’s probably because you already have a problem with your
supply pipe, or think you may have one. It is important to note that if your supply pipe is old, we
would recommend that you consider replacing it, which is a long term solution to potential
problems.
Alternatively, you can opt to insure your pipe work. There are companies that offer a range of
policies, which include internal plumbing and drainage and you can specifically cover your
supply pipe. Any of these decisions are the responsibility of a property owner. However, we would
recommend that you consider this to protect yourself against future problems.
Objective:
In the fig.1 is the sensor predefined sensor which the leads to wrong reading in the water flow
sensor. The voltage produced in the water flow meter will not be varied for a small leakage in the
pipe it will respond to leakage damages in the pipe and the water sensor will detected the rain
water as an leakage but really there no leakage in the pipe this is the problem identify in the pipe
leakage. The water leakage detection system can be deployed in the already existing plumbing
with flow rate sensors attached in the path of the water flow. The sensor does not obstruct the
water flow but just collects the data of flow rate. Actuators like solenoid valve is needed to control
the water flow in the event of a leak. The proposed system uses a micro controller which
constantly reads the data from multiple flow rate sensors thereby constantly monitoring the water
flow. It compares the flow rate by calculating the difference in data from subsequent sensors and
takes the necessary action. If the difference is greater than the set threshold, micro controller
signals the solenoid valve to stop the water flow and sends alert information to the user. This
minimizes the water wastage. On the other hand, if the difference is less than the threshold, it
sends the sensor data to the cloud for data logging and the process continues as shown in Fig. 1.
Online data logging allows the user to keep track of the water usage and take necessary decisions
to conserve the water.in the fig. 2. the working of the flow chart of the existing model is explain in

This may be a modified version of your proposal depending on previously carried out research
or any feedback received.
A. Using pressure sensor
Fig. 3. shows a schematic view of the described sensor packaging method. The basic design of
the implantable system can consist of the packaged pressure sensor and the main circuitry that
handles signal and wireless communication. The two components are connected through a thin
flexible cable. The advantage of such design is such that the sensor can be positioned near the
pressure source, maintaining a small form factor, while the main circuitry can be implanted
subcutaneously to increase the wireless link performance with moderate restrictions on size. In
this paper, however, we focus on the sensor packaging. The combination of the packaging method
with a readout and wireless interface can be found at our previous reports. The fluidic-isolation
packaging technique for the low-drift implantable pressure sensor involves the encapsulation of
the sensor along with the flexible intercon- nection cable in a medical-grade thin polyurethane
balloon that is filled with a biocompatible incompressible liquid. The liquid must also be non-
aqueous and non-polar to minimize its interaction with the pressure sensor and its polymeric
packaging material (e.g. parylene coating and epoxy used to cover wire bonds). In our case,
we used silicone oil which in biocompatible and fulfills these requirements. While the medical-
grade balloon isolate the pressure sensor from environmental drift causing factors, it also
transfers pressure information without sacrificing the sensitivity.
