Vulkonex BHT Datasheet

Vulkanox BHT is a white crystalline antioxidant used to protect organic materials from oxidation. It has a melting point of 69.5°C and density of 1.03 g/cm3. Vulkanox BHT is at least 99.8% pure and has applications in elastomers, plastics, fuels and more. It is available in 25 kg bags and 500 kg Big Bags and has a shelf life of at least 2 years when stored properly.

Information about uses:

Vulkanox BHT is an antioxidant of high efficacy. It protects organic material from oxidation by atmos-
pheric oxygen.

Areas of application include e.g.: elastomers, thermoplastics, latices, polyether polyols, mineral oils,
fuels, adhesives, dyestuffs, printing links, aliphatic and cyclic ethers, vegetable oils and plastics.

For applications involving biodiesel, foodstuffs, medicines and animal feeds, special grades are avail-
able: BAYNOX, Purolan BHT und Rovelox 100.

We would like to point out that for applications such as pharma requiring
- a microbiological purity
- a quality corresponding to HACCP or GMP standards

BHT is offered in a special specification "Vulkanox BHT GMP Grade". For these applications only Vul-
kanox BHT GMP Grade should be used.

Full registration according to Article 10 (4) REACH-Registration, [EC] No. 1907/2006.

If correctly stored and kept in the sealed package, the shelf life is at least 2 years.
Protect from light, moisture and heat > 50°C.
