FILAMER CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY

COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION

Roxas City
Autonomous Status-CHED
Accredited level IV-ACSCU-AAI

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. define Integer and the rules involving operations in
Integer
2. relate Integer in real world application; and
3. solve problems involving operations on Integer

II. Learning Contents:

A. Topic: Operation on Integers
B. Instructional Materials: Flash Cards, Multimedia
C. Reference: Global Mathematics 7 pp. 43-46
D. Values: Critical thinking, Determination and Patience
E.
III. Teaching Strategies
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Review

Before we proceed to our next topic, let us have a short review

of what we have discussed last meeting. (Fundamental Operations in
Mathematics)

So, among you still remember our last topic?

What are those operations?
2. Motivation

The teacher will group the class into four. Give the flash cards
with containing letters with problem operations. Each group has a task
cards/concept notes about the rules on how to solve the problems.
Then, each group must solve the problem on the flash cards and
arrange/ from the lowest to highest number of their answers within 10
minutes. The first group that finished that activity will shout a yell
within their group. After posting flash cards on the board, the teacher
will chose students in the group to discuss/explain their activity work
provided with his/her guide questions.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation
Students will present their activity regarding
their activity work.

What have you notice to your activity?

How you derive with your answer?
How will you define integer?

2. Discussion
 Integers are the positive and the negative whole
numbers
Integers are the set of whole numbers and
their opposites
 Teacher will post the four operation of Integer. Each
operation has a set of rules that needed to state by
the student themselves.
A. Post Activities
1. Generalization:
Now let us have a quick wrap up of our
discussion using the 4-3-2-1 CHART

4- What are the four Operations of Integer?

3- What are the three steps in solving
subtraction of Integer?
2-What are the two signs that we need to
consider in Operations of Integers?
1- Give one importance of Integer in our life.

2. Application
Let us apply what we have learned today in a
real life situation about Integer. Tell me if it is
Positive or Negative.
