Trump wants to buy Greenland. Greenland uses almost 70% of its energy as renewable energy.

They
are rich in natural resources including iron ore, lead, zinc, diamonds and gold, rare earth materials
(Europium, scandium etc, 20 rare earth elements are there), uranium and oil.

China is reach in rare earth elements and has threatened USA to cut rare earth elements supply to
USA if trade war escalates.

Rare earth elements are used in space technology and green technologies such as renewable energy
and low carbon vehicles.

Greenland is located between usa and Russia and is a strategic importance

USA has a air base called thule air base in north west part of Greenland, 750 miles north of Arctic
circle. It includes a radar station that is a part of US ballistic missile early warning system.

Greenland doesn’t want to sell itself but is interested in trade. .

India stops sharing Hydrological data with Pakistan. The indus water treaty is one of the liberal
water distribution agreements between two countries. Division of six rivers. Beas, Ravi and sutluj in
india. For Pakistan indus, chenab and Jhelum are lifelines as their major cities are on the bank of
these rivers. These rivers flow to pak through India, so they are afraid of drought and feminine

No first use policy of Nuclear weapons policy

India will not use nuclear weapons but in case of a major attack it will retaliate for sure, but has not
defined major attack.

India is a nuclear armed nation and has pledged not to use it until and unless attacked by others.
India will not be an initiator of nuclear war. This policy was framed in 2003 after test in Pokharan.

PM or his successors are responsible for decision whether to use nuclear weapon or not.

Pakistan has always threatened to use nuclear weapons against India. So defence minister Rajnath
Singh hinted that India may change its no first use policy. India will try to neutralise nuclear bomb in
air.

G7 summit discussed about Amazon rainforest fire and decided to offer $20 million to Brazil but
president of Brazil rejected this offer and
Two child policy
There are so many negative consequences of forcing the citizen to reduce the number of child they
produce.

Recently Assam govt proposed two child policy and said after 2021 anyone having more than two
child will be exempted from any govt facilities in terms of subsidies and wont be allowed to fight
elections. Due to this if women will suffer a lot, if wife of a politician is having more than two child,
then that politician may abandon his wife to fight election.

Controlling population forcefully is not an option, we can learn this from our history. In 1979, during
Indira Gandhi tenure people were forced for sterilization, due to which over 1000 people were died
as sterilization was done in a hurry. But consequences regarding population control was negligible.
