Title: Formatting and Saving a Document


PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
The learner must be able to use different parts of the MS Word. Also, be able to format text and
paragraph, apply shortcuts and page lay- out, copy, cut, and paste text, and paragraph spacing,
create folder and save file.
SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS:
Computer and MS Word Program
STEPS AND PROCEDURE:
1. Type the poem below
Success: A Perception-3

Success lies in being happy


After losing the game
Success lies in giving credit
And taking the blame
Success lies in doing good
Without thinking for name and fame
Success lies in winning friends
Sharing goods and claim
Success lies in the fair means
Not in anyhow achieving the aim
Success lies in team spirit
Making efforts jointly for the same
Success lies in enjoying the journey
Not in reaching the hall of fame

2. Highlight the title and increase the font size into 16 and font style to Times New Roman.
3. Highlight the whole poem and align to the center.
4. Highlight the name of the author and align to the right.
5. Change the margin into 1-inch TBLR (Top, Bottom, Left, Right), orientation to Portrait and
paper size Legal.
6. Change the paragraph spacing into 1.5.
7. Highlight the 1st line of the paragraph and copy, then, click enter from the last line of the
paragraph and paste
8. Highlight the title and the author’s name and toggle Bold face on
9. Highlight the word happy, friends, and fame, then, change the font color into red.
10. Save your work with filename: Example: PracticalTest1_family name
11, Create a new folder and name it with “MS Word Activities_FamilyName”
12. Copy your saved files and paste it on your new folder (MS Word Activities_FamilyName)
