* Mount Everest, (8850 meter) known in Nepali as
Sagarmatha and in Tibet as Chomolungma is Earth’s highest
mountain above sea level,located in the Mahalangur Himal
Sub-range of the Himalayas.
* The tallest mountain range in the world is – The Himalayas

* Dead Sea at an elevation of –(337m,, 1,401 feet) below sea


level is the absolute lowest point of the earth. Its surface and
coastline border Israel to its west and Jordan to its east.

* The Mariana Trench (11,022m) or marianas Trench is the


deepest part of the world’s oceans. It is located in the western
Pacific Ocean, an average of 200 Kilometres to east of the
Mariana Islands, in the Western Pacific East of Philippines.

* Mawsynram is the Village in the East Khasi Hills district of


Meghalaya state in north-eastern India is the place receives
one of the highest rainfalls in India. It is reportedly the
wettest place on Earth, with an average annual rainfall of
11,872 millimeters.

* Lake Baikal is a Russian rift lake and the world’s biggest


freshwater lake by volume. It is located in Southern part of
Siberia.
