Abstract
The Workout App is fitness based application for beginners who wants to live a healthy life. Considering the existing system problems
related to fitness application we are developing an android application. This application will be available for android platform users.
Application will mainly focus on giving proper knowledge to our user about various exercises and will also provide basic knowledge about
healthy diet. The application will be developed using Android studio and back end will be managed by Firebase. Application will have
easy and feasible GUI for all type of users. In this paper we will present an android mobile phone application to make it easier for a
layman to understand proper posture while doing exercise. This application will assist him/her in living a healthy lifestyle.
In Today’s Health conscious world workout is very important and this application gives good knowledge about postures while performing
exercise. With its easy UI, the user can select a body part for which he wants to workout. In this application you can also calculate your
BMI and it also shows nearby gyms of the user. All the videos are fetched from Firebase so as to decrease the size of application.
I. INTRODUCTION
The Workout app is fitness based application for beginners who wants to live healthy lifestyle. This application provides you proper
and easy videos to target a particular muscle. And also includes functionalities like showing user nearby gyms on map. The project
also provides proper diet to enhance your workout for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
The application ‘THE WORKOUT APP’ is designed keeping in mind about the lack of knowledge in people about fitness. This is
an all-in-one application wherein there are videos, BMI calculator, motivational quotes and map. These categories help the users to
plan their workout with proper steps.
The workout application offers many advantages that can be quite helpful for everyone. So, let’s see some advantages offered by
such application. Fitness is something which everyone wants but not many are able to execute it in a proper way, and for
beginners it’s quite confusing to know the best way to build muscle in an efficient way. A good workout and fitness
application should allow an user to clearly identify the difference between a proper posture and wrong posture.
As the number of smartphone users are increasing day by day, the demand for centric apps is increasing as well. The objective of
this project is to develop an android application which will provide knowledge about body building in an easy and understandable
manner. Body building is not an easy thing to do as you have to be disciplined about everything you do to your body. For this
reason, this application will provide all the necessary knowledge that is needed for living a fit and healthy lifestyle. This application
contains each and every muscle videos, which will help the user for correcting their posture. This app also includes BMI calculator
and other features like showing nearby gyms to the user. On addition we have also included some motivational quotes which can
help user to motivate themselves on continuous basis. Lastly this application can be accessed everywhere, anytime as everybody
have their own smartphone.
Model:
The Model contains only the pure application data, it contains no logic describing how to present the data to a user. They are the
parts of the application that implement the logic for the application’s data domain. They retrieve model state in a database.
View:
The View presents the model’s data to the user. The view can only be used to access the model’s data. They are the components that
display the applications user interface.
Controller:
The Controller exists between the view and the model. It listens to events triggered by the view and executes the appropriate
commands. They are the components that handle user interaction, work with the model, and ultimately select a view to render that
displays UI.

VII. ADVANTAGES

CONCLUSION
In this project, we made attempt to effectively give knowledge about fitness. As beginners are too confused about body
building as there are many people giving them advice. So it becomes hard for them as they don’t know whom to listen.
We want people to conquer their fitness resolutions. This application was designed keeping in mind the general users of
mobile phones and who are looking for a perfect application to train them. Its easy UI will help the user to easily use the
app. We also explained the features implemented in our application. This project can be further refined and extended
by introducing new and more innovative features.
