A line skirt
This skirt has a slight flare which makes this one look like a capital letter A. Hence the name A line skirt. This
is one of the most common and popular silhouettes among skirts.

Fitted skirt
As the name indicates this is a form fitting skirt from waist to the hips usually with the help of darts.

Drindl skirt
This skirt is a straight skirt which is gathered at the waist. The fullness of the gathers is fitted by a waistband.

Mini Skirt
A Mini skirt is a short skirt with approximately 10 to 17 inches length. Other names given to this shirt are
bondage skirt, Pelmet skirt. A Micro Mini is an even shorter dress, typically about 10 inches or smaller.
Draped Skirt
A draped skirt has fullness gathered or draped on one side. It is also called a Sarong draped skirt. Sarong is a
square piece of fabric which can be wrapped around the body to make a skirt. A Sarong drape skirt is a sarong
wrapped around the body and worn like a skirt.

Layered skirt
In this type of skirt layers of ruffled fabric are arranged one on top of the other to form a skirt.

Circle skirt
This is a very full skirt which is somewhat fitted at the waist. The fabric piece of the skirt will resemble a circle
with a hole which is why the name.

Gored skirt
This is a paneled skirt with sections of fabric giving fullness to an A line silhouette.

Godet skirt
A godet is triangular piece of fabric inserted into the body of the skirt to give fullness.

Trumpet skirt
A trumpet shaped skirt is fitted near the waist and till the bottom hem and then flares outside near the hem.A
mermaid skirt is a trumpet shaped skirt .
Chinese collar blouse
This design of blouse is perfect for women with long necks. In the previous years, Bollywood actresses used to
wear this type of blouses.

Oval and rectangular neck blouse design


Both of these designs are perfect for petite women as these come with short necks. Besides, both of these
designs also increase the beauty of necks. Besides, by opting for backless design on these blouses, you can also
add glamour to your personality.

Halter neck blouse


This is one of the latest blouse designs and this has become highly popular among the high profile and fashion
conscious women, who prefer to show off their skin. This style of blouse is perfect for those with pear shaped
figure or for those women, who have heavy bottoms.

High neck blouse


These days, this type of blouse style has almost become a rage and women with long necks are wearing this

Transparent or sheer sleeve blouse


This type of blouse design is meant for women irrespective of the body type and this design very often goes in
and out of fashion. But at the present time, sheer sleeve is very much in fashion. The name of this style comes
from the sheer fabric, which is used in this blouse and this material enhances the feminine beauty of women.

Spaghetti strap blouse


This is a complete new design blouse and goes perfectly with women, who have great collar bones and thin top
to flaunt. Besides, this type of blouse is a hot pick of those women, who are high on fashion as well as in search
of excuses to wear fashionable blouses even while they have to wear some contemporary sarees.

3/4th sleeves backless blouse


These days, the backless blouses are in rage and most of the fashionista women like to wear these for different
functions and parties. In fact, this is a versatile blouse type, which shows the beauty of the hands of the wearer
while the bare back is the proof of the mischievous side of the wearer. In a number of cases, this blouse style is

Square and round neck blouse designs
These are the most contemporary or commonest designs of blouses and these designs are there for immortal
times. The best thing about these designs is that these look great on both short and tall women.
Normal sleeve
This is a sleeve which is set into the armscye with the sleeve head curved to adjust to the roundness of the
shoulder.

Raglan sleeves
This is a sleeve joined to the bodice with a diagonal seam running from the underarm front and back in to the
neckline.

Cap sleeves
This is a sleeve which just about covers the top of the arm. It is a short sleeve. You also call it ap sleeves when
the shoulder fabric is extended up and over the shoulder cap without breaking to extend slightly down the arm.

Bracelet sleeves ( Three fourth sleeve)


This sleeve has a length between elbow and the wrist. The whole idea is that when you wear this sleeve you can
see your bracelet. From the elbow it measures about 4 inches.

Lantern sleeves
This is a long sleeve with two sections. The top portion of this sleeve flares from the sleeve head towards the
wrist.The bottom part flares from a fitting wrist to meet the flare from the top. The two parts are joined by a
seam which maintains its flared lantern shape. A long lantern sleeve and short lantern sleeve can be made.

Man’s shirt sleeve with cuff


This sleeve has two pleats at the buttoned cuff and a placket opening.
Straight Collars
Popularly called as the basic shirt collar, the straight collar is the most formal type of collar. Worn mostly for
official purposes, this type of collar is typically made out of cotton and belongs to formal office wears and pairs
impeccably well with a blazer. Straight collars made in chambray look good on casual tops too.

Peter Pan Collars


This rounded-edged collar is known for its semi-formal appeal. They are typically seen sitting atop button-down
blouses. This sort of collar is back in fashion, and when edging of the collar marries the lace or some sort of
bling, then it makes for an irresistible combination.

Detachable Collars
Known for their round neck or V-neck charm, the detachable beauties are mostly available in vivid colours to
give a boost to your overall look. Some might even make you use studs to fasten them to a shirt.

Turtleneck Collars
Known for their high knitted appeal, these collars sit around the neck and are typically known for this turned
down or scrunched under the neck appeal.

Sailor Collars
Linked deeply with the Unites States Navy image, the sailor collar is quite in vogue for their double square
panel and middle V-neck appeal. Tie a loose scarf under this vintage collar to give a new-age style and class.

Mandarin Collars
Inspired from the typical stand up chenogasm collar, these Chinese-inspired collars are known for their standing
charm. The centre front of mandarin collar might be squared or curved in shape giving the shirt a close and
structured fitting.

Rolled Collars
Rolled collars are known for their standing upright at the edge of the neck and the rest folding downwards
appeal. The fall of the collar is similar to the roll line, hence the name rolled collar.

Flat Collars
These types of collars fall flat on the dress line and are quite plain in their look. This is one of the best collars to
play around with; accessorising or putting a statement neckpiece underneath the collar for that glam effect.

Bertha Collars
Seen mostly with a large round and flat shape around the low v-neck cut, the bertha collars are one of the most
popular Victorian era collars. They look super sophisticated on gowns and can uplift your everyday casual-
formal look with panache.
Jabot Collars
Jabot collars are pure love for lace and old-world charm. They are designed in a way that the square fabric over
the breast comes around like a ruffle. Nowadays available in a lot of detached forms, these stalwarts can be
attached to any V-neckline or round neckline garment to give that extra oomph factor to your overall look.
