Fast Detection of Transformed Data Leaks PPT 1

This document presents a proposal for a system to detect transformed data leaks. The system is being developed by three group members under the guidance of Kranthi Mam. The document outlines that the goal is to detect when sensitive data distributed to agents has been leaked and possibly identify the leaking agent. The proposed system will use perturbation to modify data before distribution and develop an algorithm to assess agent guilt if a leak is found. This is an improvement over existing watermarking techniques. Hardware requirements include Windows 10.1, a dual core CPU or higher, and 4GB of RAM.

INTRODUCTION
➢ Data leakage is the unauthorized transmission of sensitive data or
information from within an organization to an external destination.
➢ Sensitive datas of companies includes.......
- Intellectual Properties.
- Financial Properties.
- Patient Information.
- Personal Credit Card Data.
- Other Information based on the Business and the Industry.
➢ So it is very important to prevent such data leaks.
➢ Our motive here is to present a technique to detect the data leaks.
ABSTRACT
➢ A data distributor has given sensitive data to a set of supposedly trusted
agents(third parties).
➢ Some of the data is leaked and found in an unauthorized place(e.g.,on the
web or somebody's laptop).
➢ We propose data allocation strategies across the agents that improve
the probability of identifying leakages.
➢ Traditionally, leakage detection is handled by watermarking, where a unique
code is embedded in each distributed copy. If that copy is later discovered in
the hands of an unauthorised party the leaker can be identified.
➢ Perturbation is a another very useful technique where the data is
modified and made "less sensitive" before being handed to agents.
EXISTING SYSTEM
➢ Traditionally, leakage detection is handled by watermarking,
Eg: a unique code is embedded in each distributed copy.
➢ If that copy is later discovered in the hands of an unauthorized
party , the leaker can be identified.
➢ Watermarks can be very useful in some cases, but again,
involve some modification of the original data.
➢ Furthermore, watermarks can sometimes be destroyed if the
data recipient is malicious.
EXISTING SYSTEM
➢ In this existing system no technique is implemented to
detect the data leakage.
➢ So we may not know if the data is lost or hacked.
➢ So the data that is leaked and can be misused, this is the
disadvantage of the existing system.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
➢ Our goal is to detect when the distributor's sensitive
data has been leaked by agents, and if possible to identify
the agent that leaked the data.
➢ Perturbation is a very useful technique where the data is
modified and made "less sensitive "before being handed to
agents.
➢ We develop a model for assessing the "guilt" of agents.
➢ We also present algorithms for distributing objects to
agents, in a way that improves our chances of identifying a
leaker.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
➢ But in the proposed project we will find out whether
the data is leaked or not.
➢ The prediction will be done and it will provide which
data is leaked by the agent and if possible to identify
the agent that leaked the data.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
REQUIREMENTS
➢ Operating System : Windows 10.1
➢ Language : Java
➢ CPU : Dual core CPU and above
➢ RAM : 4 GB and Above
