Throughout this unit, we will be conducting in-class labs focusing on what we are covering in our lessons. To build on
this, I will be giving you some choice in what you want to focus on during this inquiry project. Below is a list of potential

using the Learning Process sheet to structure the research, and scheduled due dates to organize your time.
Topics:
-Bacterial Viruses
-Cellular Reproduction
-Cancer
-Plants vs Animals
-Cells Vs Viruses
-Vaccines and Cures
-Genetic and Cells
-DNA
-Healthy/Unhealthy Body Systems
-Organelles in a Cell
*If there is another topic that interests you, but is related to cells, let me know!
Presentation Method:
For this assignment, the presentation method is completely open, however, with great power comes great
responsibility. Just because you can choose any presentation method does not mean that they are all good. You will
need to look at the information you have gathered, determine what you want to do with it and then construct a product
based on 1) your information, 2) your audience, 3) the message that you want to deliever.
My Big Question will be... (Remember this is something that cannot be Googled or easily answered. Try a “How” or
“Why” question.

Disclaimer:
This assignment is set-up to be similar to independent tasks in high school. We will have lots of time to work on this in
class, but you will need to do research at home as well. Gather your information using a variety of sources (Books,
websites, videos, people, etc.). The final due date will quickly approach, so be sure that you work on this continuously, a
little bit each day to ensure that you meet your deadlines. Conferencing is very important in a project like this. You will
need to conference consistently to ensure that you are on the right track and finding the answers you need to find.
Lastly, and most importantly, enjoy this assignment. Be curious about the topic and the information that you are looking
at. These are topics that will impact you, so ask the questions, thirst for the answers and have fun!
