MAIN TASK:
SUB-TASK:
Mixture defined as the result of combining two or more substances, such that each maintains
its chemical identity. In other words, a chemical reaction does not occur between
components of a mixture. It based on how uniform they are and on the particle size
of components relative to each other.
Mixtures are classified based on how uniform they are and on the particle size of
components relative to each other.
Examples of Mixtures
HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE
Has a uniform composition that doesn't readily separate.
separate components.
M&Ms, every candy you pick will be green. If you take another
Handful, once again all the candies will be green. That bag contains
different from what you get if you take a second handful. This is a
heterogeneous mixture.
