Nagios XI - Hosts Pending/Gray Nagios XI - Hosts Pending/Gray

This document discusses why host objects may appear gray and in a pending state in Nagios XI and provides solutions. Specifically, it explains that this occurs when a host or service object does not have a check command assigned. It then provides steps to assign the check_xi_host_ping command to the local host object to resolve the issue. Additionally, it lists some other problems like disabled active checks, database issues, or SSL/TLS certificate problems that could also cause hosts to appear pending.
