assigned category, based on the analysis of the historical trends and future forecasts.

• Identifying and shortlisting potential vendors as partners and negotiating cost/ prices in line with the
desired level of margins.
• Maintaining an extensive level of communication with the planning team for applying previous performance
analysis into the process of range direction and selection.
• Assisting Buyer in Creating and Defining product range within budget followed by range direction (lay
down), selection and final sign off.
• Assisting buyer in tracking and evaluating category sales performance, market sales trends and competitor
trading activities to identify critical business factors and accordingly proposing action plans to increase
sales and profitability.
• Assuring that the products being produced are of correct fit and quality and pre-production and post-
production quality checks are being done with respective department QA.
• Conducting periodic store visits to collect feedback from stores and competitor visits to understand the
demand and supply.
• Responsible for negotiating prices, ensuring delivery with the suppliers without compromising with quality,
look & feel of the product.
• Maintaining an extensive level of coordination and communication with all the internal teams like design,
planning, quality, logistics, marketing etc.
