Writing

Task1:

The line graph illustrates the global water use of three different area

from 1900 to 2000.As we can see, global water utilization of agriculture

was dominant during a century. Generally, all the three data show an

increasing trend from 1900 to 2000.To be more specific, the agriculture

and industrial use rose dramatically after 1950.Especially the agriculture

use,which reached nearly 3000 in 2000 while was only approximately

500 at the beginning.The figure of industrial rose about 1000 during a

century.And the domestic use kept a steady increase throughout a

century.

According to the table, we can see the figure of population,irrigated land

and water consumption per person in 2000 for Brazil was largely exceed

the figure of Congo.

In conclusion,Brazil has larger population,so the domestic use is more

than Congo.And Brazil has more irrigated land,it means Brazil has more

available agriculture land.Combine with the line graph,agriculture

consume the most global water,so it’s not hard to understand why Brazil

much more than Congo in water consumption per person.


Task 2:

With the developing of high technology,advertisement become one of

the most important part in people’s life.Some people think the high sales

of popular consumer products reflect the power of advertising and not

the real needs of the society in which they are sold.I agree with this

view,and I will explain my opinion in following articles.

Firstly, advertisement developing rapidly and large amount of

advertisement appear on TV .Although advertisement give public more

choices and convenience,the problem of unreality has been noticed by

more people .Advertisement always describe the products perfectly

while the truth may far from that.People often believe in advertisement

easily and buy unsuitable products.Like buying clothes,many people just

see the pictures from the sellers but not consider whether their size are

perfect as models.

Secondly,celebrity charm become more and more strong recently

because of fans’ loving and following.Whatever the goods they need or

not,the fans will buy them once their idols represent them.For

example,many fans bought supporting lights even they hardly use


them.The reason why they bought them is not because they really need

but for celebrity charm.

Lastly,the hot sales of many products are due to the influence by the

around voices.Many people buy things because of group psychology,if

some people around them told that they should have one thing ,they will

buy it without consideration.

In conclusion,I think advertisement has advantages for society,people

should to learn how to use it correctly.And if people can consider more

before shopping,they will buy products which are they really need and

suit.
