Frog Life Cycle - Lesson 3

Key vocabulary: life cycle, eggs, tadpole with back legs, tadpole with front and back legs, frog,
froglet.
In the beginning, the teacher will check the student’s prior knowledge by
asking them:

Essential question:
Chart paper Tr: who will come and tell and draw for us how the frog grows?”
Key Vocabulary Tr: will give the students 1 minute to turn and talk with a partner then raise
your hand if they know the answer.
Tr: choose the students randomly.
Ss will come and draw for us the stages of frog life cycle.
Modeling

Students will work in group. The teacher will give the students instruction and
give them example about the activity. The example will be on the table.
This group will do sample of frog life cycle by drawing and coloring the
stages. Ss will use frog life cycle shapes.
Development Activity: (frog life cycle drawing)
The students will work in group. The teacher will give the students instruction
and give them example about the activity.
They will draw frog life cycle and write the name of each stage.
Master activity: (frog life cycle poster)
Students will work in group. The teacher will give the students instruction and
give them example about the activity.
The students will do the frog life cycle on a poster. They will cut the pictures
and write the name of each stage. Then they will do a series by the ribbon and
they will glue the pictures and the ribbon.
The teacher will put timer to let the students clean up their table.
Tr will put a picture of the frog life cycle on the smart board without the name
of the stages.
Tr will give the students exit ticket that have the same picture on the smart
board.
Tr will give the students 2 minutes to write the name of the stages. Then tr will
collect the exit ticket.
After that, the tr will choose the students randomly from each group to come
and write the name of one stage.
