_____ Eco-houses look stranger than other houses, but they are more ecological. The materials
conserve heat and absorb solar energy. In one of the walls there are tanks full of water, which the sun
heats up. Eco-houses are also more economical than normal houses – there are no gas or electricity
bill to pay.
____ The idea of living in a windmill is romantic, but there are problems. First, all the rooms are
round, so it is more difficult to find furniture. Windmills are also more isolated than other houses.
That’s fine if you want a quieter life, but visiting friends is not easy.
____ London double-decker buses make practical homes. They are better than most buses,
because they are bigger and have two floors. Double-deckers are noisier than other mobile homes,
but they are more convenient. When you get tired of a place, you can just start up the engine and
