Fresh Oil Specs of Nateria MP-40 Vs Mobil 705

Total Nateria MP-40 is a new generation low ash gas engine oil developed to extend oil drain intervals and protect all natural gas engines. It maximizes drain intervals through high dispersancy and oxidation resistance, reducing filter plugging, valve choking, and sludge deposits. It also provides optimal wear protection for stressed engine parts through high anti-wear properties. A comparison shows Nateria MP-40 and Mobil 705 have similar physical and chemical properties, but Nateria MP-40 provides better performance for longer run times through superior dispersancy, lower ash content, and higher viscosity index.

Total Nateria MP-40

(High Performance Gas Engine Oil)

New generation low ash gas engine lubricant, specifically developed to extend oil drain interval,
and to protect all types of natural gas engines.

.Technical Benefits:

 Maximize oil drain interval due to high dispersant and resistance to oxidation.
 Resistance to oxidation reduces filter plugging, valve choking, sludge deposit which lowers the
maintenance cost.
 High anti-wear properties for an optimal protection of the most stressed parts.

Table: 1.1 ) PARAMETRIC COMPARISON B/W NATERIA MP-40 & MOBIL 705
TYPICAL CHARACTERISTIC NATERIA MP-40 MOBIL 705
SAE Viscosity Grade 40 40
2
Viscosity at 40 °C mm /s 122.5 126.2
2
Viscosity at 100 °C mm /s 13.8 13.2
Viscosity index 110 98
Flash point, COC, °C 284 252
Pour point, °C -30 -18
TBN mgKOH/g 4.6 5.6
Sulfated Ash, m % 0.48 0.5
Note: All the above specifications are taken from original Product Data Sheet of each product.

Conclusion:

By considering the above parametric comparison, we can conclude that both the lubricants almost have
same physical and chemical properties which are mostly examine during the performance comparison
between two different lubricants brand. However, Nateria MP-40 by its superior DISPERANCY, LOW
ASH CONTENT & HIGH VISCOSITY INDEX provides maximum performance for long run. Hence it is
confirmed that both the lubricants are almost identical and can be use for the same applications.
