L-8 To Study The Drafting System of RY-5 Ring Frame

The student conducted an experiment to study the drafting system of an RY-5 ring frame. Abstract:
In the experiment we studied the drafting system on RY-5 Ring Frame. We physically observed
the drafting system and the main parts. We checked the top pressure system, cradle, spacer, bottom
roller type. This drafting was 3/3. The pressure was spring based color identification. The arm
pressure gauge was 3 mm. The color of spacer was yellow. The drafting system was PK 2055. The
arber length was 105 mm and the diameter of arber was 19 mm. the length of top apron was 30
mm, width was 28 mm and thickness was 1.1 mm. The length of the bottom apron was 73 mm,
width 30 mm and the thickness was 1,1 mm. The diameter of the Front Middle and back roller was
27mm.

Objective:
 Study of Drafting system on RY-5 Ring Frame.

Equipment, Material and Tool:


 Ring Frame RY-5
 L-Key
 Tool Box

Procedure:
Firstly, we identified the drafting system on Ring frame.
Noted the different parts of the drafting system including top and bottom roller types, cradle, spring
pressure system and spacer.
We open the pressure arm took out the cradle and noted the length and width and diameter.
The Burkol rubbers were mounted on the top roller.
The grinding range of the top roller rubber was 0.1 mm and changed the rubbers at 25 mm.
We noted the length, width and thickness of aprons.

Results:
In this experiment we studied the drafting system. On the RY-5 Ring frame the 3/3 PK 2055
drafting was fitted. The Burkol rubber was mounted on top rollers. The hardness of the top roller
rubber was 78 degree shore.
