Invitation Letter

The principal of Sta Rita High School is writing to the OIC - City Health Head to request support for an upcoming adolescent reproductive health seminar at the school in July 2019. The principal explains that the DepEd has been conducting trainings on this topic at various levels. Last year, the Schools Division Office held a similar workshop that was well-received. One of the speakers from that event, Ms. Francine Anne Malik, is being invited to speak again due to her effective presentation on HIV and STIs. The principal believes Ms. Malik will help make their seminar a success and is requesting the health head's generosity and support.

Dear Dr. Bustamante,

The Department of Education (DepEd) in its utmost advocacy to train teachers about
adolescent reproductive health has started its campaign through various trainings and
workshops in the national, regional and division level.

In line with the aforementioned, the Schools Division Office of Olongapo City
conducted seminar entitled “Adolescent Reproductive Health Training Workshop” last
August 2 – 3, 2018 at the Olongapo City National High School (OCNHS), which was
attended by the secondary school teacher-representatives.

In continuation of the advocacy, teacher-representatives were encouraged to echo


the said seminar. Ms. Francine Anne Malik was greatly commended during her
discussion on HIV/ Sexually Transmitted Infections which led us to invite her as one of our
speakers. Thus, we believe that she will be of great help in the success of our seminar at
Sta Rita High School on July 2019.
