Footing Design

This document provides design calculations for a reinforced concrete footing and column. The footing is designed as a 1.8m x 1.8m square footing with a depth of 325mm. Reinforcement is calculated to be 2967.4mm2 of 20mm bars spaced at 110mm. The column is selected as a 450mm x 400mm square section. Reinforcement is then calculated based on the required area to resist the 80kN axial load on the column.
