Session Guide Contextualization
Key Understanding to be Contextualization refers to the educational process of relating the curriculum to a
developed particular setting, situation or area of application to make the competencies relevant,
meaningful, and useful to all learners.
Learning Objectives At the end of the session, the participants should be able to:
1. Gain functional and operational understanding of localization and
contextualization;
2. Identify ways on how the curriculum and/or subject could be
localized/contextualized;
3. Appreciate the importance of contextualization in the learning process.
