On 12 October 2019, 40 students with 2 lecturers went for a trip to Tongkang Pechah Industrial Area.

This factory located at Batu Pahat and the visit was at 9.00 am – 1.00 pm. We arrived at 9.00am. The
main idea of this field trip was to know the history of the factory and also the safety in the factory.
Furthermore, this visit also was to show the productions of this company.

Field Observation

When we arrived, we were directly go to the foyer of the company. We started our visit with the
history of the company. Sharp Manufacturing Corporation started their operation on June 1990.
After that, we also get the information about the safety in the company. Each department has their
own safety that must be followed.

After done with the history and safety in the company, we moved to the next activity, which is tour
the factory at 10.00 am. We were guided by the manager to witness the process of LED TV
production. The worker say that the stage 1 is assembly, the stage 2 is testing the LED TV and the
last process is packaging which is need to be done carefully. During the tour, we write down some
notes about the factory. We got chanced to explore their production of various products. At 12:30
pm we having our lunch at their canteen.

Conclusion

We end our visit about 1.00 pm. We bid farewell and give souvenirs. We learned various things
about the company and we found out the production of the company was good and creative. It gives
something new and beneficial for us as a students. We end our trip with photo session as our
memory.
