1. Introduction
“Interior Design” Interior design is the process of shaping the experience of
interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment.
Not to be confused with interior decoration, interior design draws on aspects of
environmental psychology, architecture, product design and furniture design in addition
to traditional decoration. An interior designer is a person who is considered a professional in
the field of interior design or one who designs interiors as part of their job.
Interior designers make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining
space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colours, lighting, and
materials.

Interior design is the art and science of understanding people's behaviour to create
functional spaces within a building. Decoration is the furnishing or adorning of a
space with fashionable or beautiful things. In short, interior designers may
decorate, but decorators do not design.

Interior designer implies that there is more of an emphasis on planning, functional

design and the effective use of space, as compared to interior decorating. An interior
designer in fine line design can undertake projects that include arranging the basic
layout of spaces within a building as well as projects that require an understanding of
technical issues such as window and door positioning, acoustics, and lighting.
Although an interior designer may create the layout of a space, they may not alter
load-bearing walls without having their designs stamped for approval by a structural
engineer. Interior designers often work directly with architects, engineers and
contractors.

2. Related Study

Interior designers can specialize in a particular interior design discipline, such as residential
and commercial design, with some developing expertise within a niche design area such as
hospitality, health care and institutional design. In jurisdictions where the profession is
regulated by the government, designers must meet broad qualifications and show competency
in the entire scope of the profession, not only in a specialty. Designers may elect to obtain
specialist certification offered by private organizations.

The specialty areas that involve interior designers are limited only by the imagination and
are continually growing and changing. With the increase in the aging population, an
increased focus has been placed on developing solutions to improve the living environment
of the elderly population, which takes into account health and accessibility issues that can
affect the design. Some of the negative aspects of the existing system are as follows:

➢ Time Consuming:
Course of action is time consuming. Wherever a need for search arises, the process evolves
search through paper records.

Readability Problem:

Readability of records is constrained. All the records may not be handled or written by the
same person. So the format and style of records differ and hence it is difficult to understand.

Reliability:

Paper records are easily damaged in course of time. The life time of paper record is unreliable
less that it easily gets spoiled.

Man Power:

Expenditure is high. Manual system needs added man power.

Security Problem:

Prone to corruption by unauthorized users. Securing of manual system is not fully

guaranteed. Inaccuracy can be expected. Data can get easily scratched.

3. Problem Definition

From the foregoing discussion Interior Design is a big problem in the current scenario, where
everybody is too much conscious about home decorating. Interior Design is the process of
shaping the experience of interior space. Interior Design draws on aspects of environment
psychology, architecture, product design and furniture design in addition to traditional
decoration. The goal of this project is to provide home decoration services online. Since Now
days where peoples are working and frequently moving one place to another place, so a new
place where he/she don’t have any idea about the home services. Since it is the basic need for
their home hence the proposed problem is investigated. To keep the above case in mind, I
have proposed the following problems solution.

Residential Interior Design

4. Objective
The Project aimed to provide the solution for home decoration that is ‘Interior Design’. In this
project try to find advantages and disadvantages of the existing available solution an online solution
to propose an online solution that could be beneficial for the users. To achieve the desired goal
following are the following objectives-

• To analysis the client need.

• To understand the Primary function of Interior Design.
• To make available the required Services.
• Try to give better services by which we appeal to customers.
Page |6

5. Methodology
To achieve the desired goal in the project following methodology is to be used-

• ASP.NET 4.7 with C#

ASP.NET is one of the most exciting web development technologies on offer today. Here was
a powerful platform with lots of built- in functionality astonishing performance levels and one of the
best IDEs(Integrated Development Environments) around visual Studio. ASP.NET showed the way
for the faster, easier, and more disciplined development of dynamic web sites, and the results were
impressive.

ASP.NET is a server-side technology for developing web applications based on the

Microsoft.NET framework i.e. it runs on the web server. When a web browser requests a web page
created with only client-side technologies, the web server simply grabs the files that the browser
requests and sends them down the line.

In the case of ASP.NET the code in the page is read by the server and used to generate the
HTML, java script, and CSS, which is then sent to the browser. Since the processing of the ASP.NET
code occurs on the server, it’s called a server-side technology. The client only sees the HTML, java
script, and CSS. The server is entirely responsible for processing the server- side code.

User The transaction starts and ends with the user. The user operates the web client software and
interprets the results.

Web Client This is the software program that the person uses to interact with the web application.
The client is usually a web browser, such as internet explorer or fire-fox.

Web Server This is the software program located on the server. It processes re-quests made by the
web client.

The .NET Framework 4.7.1 includes improvements in several areas:

• Accessibility improvements in narration, high contrast and focus control areas

• .NET Framework support for .NET Standard 2.0 and compiler features

• More secure SHA-2 support in ASP.NET and System. Messaging

• Configuration builders

• ASP.NET Execution step feature

• ASP.NET Http Cookie parsing

• Enhancements in Visual Tree for WPF applications

• Performance and reliability improvements

• MY SQL SERVER 2008

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 is a relational database management system (RDBMS)
produced by Microsoft. Its primary query language is Transact-SQL, an implementation of
the ANSI/ISO standard Structured Query Language (SQL) used by both Microsoft and
Sybase. It offers a variety of administrative tools to ease the burden of database development,
maintenance and administration.

SQL Server 2008 also includes support for structured and semi-structured data,
including digital media formats for pictures, audio, video and other multimedia data. In
current versions, such multimedia data can be stored as BLOBs (binary large objects), SQL
Server 2008 can be a data storage backend for different varieties of data: XML, email,
time/calendar, file, document, spatial, etc as well as perform search, query, analysis, sharing,
and synchronization across all data types.

SQL Server includes better compression features, which also helps in improving
scalability. It enhanced the indexing algorithms and introduced the notion of filtered indexes.
It also includes Resource Governor that allows reserving resources for certain users or
workflows. SQL Server 2008 supports the ADO.NET Entity Framework and the reporting
tools, replication, and data definition will be built around the Entity Data Model. SQL Server
Reporting Services will gain charting capabilities from the integration of the data
visualization products. On the management side, SQL Server 2008 includes the Declarative
Management Framework which allows configuring policies and constraints, on the entire
database or certain tables, declaratively. The version of SQL Server Management
Studio included with SQL Server 2008 supports IntelliSense for SQL queries against a SQL
Server 2008 Database Engine. SQL Server 2008 also makes the databases available
via Windows Power Shell providers and management functionality available as Cmdlets, so
that the server and all the running instances can be managed from Windows Power Shell.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 offers a variety of administrative tools to ease the burden
of database development, maintenance and administration. There are six of the more
frequently used tools:

▪ Enterprise Manager
▪ Query Analyzer
▪ SQL Profiler
▪ Service Manager
▪ Data Transformation Services, and
▪ Books Online

6. Scope of Project

Interior Designers and Their Scope of work Residential Interior Design is about helping
client to create and layout a place with the right furnishing. Meet client and discuss the
project (whether renovation of an existing building or room or designing a new
one).Understand the project and goals associated with it, involved and materials to be
used. Location and exact to be used to create visual impressions. Interior Designers and
their scope of work residential Interior Design is about helping clients to create and layout
a place with the right furnishing. The role of an Interior Designer is vast and their scope
of work stretches in various areas such as, residential Interior Design: Interior Design
focus on identifying the products and materials to be used in homes. They work in
designing rooms, kitchen and bathroom and even outside space.

Interior designers who also possess environmental expertise in design solutions for
sustainable construction can receive accreditation in this area by taking the Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) examination.
