Election of Interact Club

Rotary and Rotaract Club of San Pascual held an organizational meeting to establish the first Interact Club at San Pascual National High School. The goal was to develop young leaders in the community and encourage volunteerism. At the meeting, Interact Club officers were elected for the 2017-2018 school year to lead service projects that benefit the local community. Jarren Basilan was elected as the first President and pledged to fulfill his duties to the new Interact Club.

Vanguards turn into Interactors

Aiming to mold the leadership ability of young leaders of San Pascual and turn out to be a world
changer, Rotary and Rotaract Club of San Pascual administered an Organizational Meeting at San
Pascual National High School, September 20, 2017.

With this year’s motto ‘’Rotary: Making A Difference’’, Great President of Rotary Club, Atty.
Ferdinand Oliva opened Interact Club to encourage service among youth, foster their active interest in
the community and offer opportunities for them to develop as leaders.

‘’Mahalagang nahuhubog ang abilidad ng mga kabataang San Pascualeno sa mga ganitong
organisasyon sapagkat nakatutulong ito upang mapalawak at mahasa ang kanilang kaalaman sa
pamumuno at magkaroon ng pagkakataong makasalamuha ang ibang lider sa ibang lugar’’, Atty. Oliva
quoted as he tackled the concept of leadership and volunteerism.

As part of it, Coun. Rainier I. Dacut, President of Rotaract Club led the election of the first ever
Interact Club of both San Pascual National High School and Senior High School for R.Y. 2017-2018.

The elected officers were: President- Jarren Basilan, Vice President- Maylyn Dimaano, Secretary-
Isabella G. Calimlim, Treasurer- Judith Rosales, P.R.O- Fernan Maranan, Finance- Justine Salvo,
Membership- Angelika Reduta, President Elect- Osward Nepomuceno, Community Service Director-
Rene Vasquez, Club Service Director- Jeffrey Lorgado, Professional Development Director- Oliver
Obando and International Service Director- Judith Ilagan.

‘’ I am blessed and grateful to be elected as the First President of the Interact Club of SPSHS 1. I
know this is another responsibility for me but I’ll just do my best to fulfill all my duties’’, cited by Jarren
Basilan, Elected President of Interact Club.
