PRESENTATION
CLIENT PROFILE
Client: Bear Fisher
Designer: Heather Gresham
Occupants: Bear is 47 and his girlfriend, Heather, that lives with him is 41. Between the two of them they have 3 younger kids (Sienna 12,
Xander 10, Luke 8) most of the time but sometimes also have Bears two older kids (Lauren 21, Logan 19) with them on the
weekends. Bear works in IT and Heather is a Sales Manager.
Lifestyle: Bear and Heather both work full time and juggle their different situations with their kids from previous marriages. They have busy
and stressful lives so for them their home is their calm and peaceful place to relax. They have a casual lifestyle at home.
Hobbies: Bear is into martial arts and working out. He also likes to play video games. They both like to watch movies, listen to music and
play board games with the kids.
Entertaining: Bear and Heather don’t entertain much. The only entertaining they do is having 1 or 2 family members over at a time to have
dinner or play games. They wouldn’t mind entertaining more, but the space is small to fit too many people.
Daily activities for space: Eating at the dining room table and watching TV.
Favorite colors: Bear likes black, grey and white, some blues. Heather likes purple.
CLIENT PROFILE – (CONTINUED)
Favorite materials: Dark wood, granite or quartz, brushed nickel and oil rubbed bronze
Existing items to be used: Wood floor, couch, TV stand, TV, rug and buffet
Desired style: Modern, peaceful. Key pieces of decorations but not a lot of clutter.
Problem statement: The biggest problem they run into is not having enough storage. They have a lot of board games on a shelf, blankets and
Rockband equipment that they would like to find better storage solutions for so the room doesn’t look so cluttered, but the
items would still be close by and easily accessible.
Their kitchen table only fits 4 people comfortably, so they must squish around it. They wouldn’t mind finding a better table
for the space that can fit more people but it’s also not a must change.
The room doesn’t get a lot of natural light so whatever can be done to brighten it.
Color: Their wall colors are white and grey and would like to keep them. The kitchen which is next to it has a blue in it. So, they
would like help finding decorations to match their wall colors.
DESIGN PROGRAM
Clients
• The clients for this project are Bear and his girlfriend Heather. They don’t have any special physical needs. The biggest need to fill for them is helping them to
figure out how to make use of their small space mostly using the furniture they already have. They would also like help with the color scheme. Most of the time
it’s just Bear, Heather and Heather’s 10-year-old son but every other weekend Bear has his two younger children that are 8 and 12 years old and sometimes 1
of his older children will spend the night too. It’s a 3-bedroom townhouse and there is only 1 living area for them to all spend time in so they want less clutter
and the best use of the space to fit everyone. They use the living area to watch movies, play video games and to eat meals in the dining area.
Design Concept
• Bear and Heather have busy lives with both working full time and taking care of kids. So, when they come home, they want to relax. The space will have a calm,
soothing feel to it like a “Hampton’s home on the beach” feel with white and neutral colors. We will add some storage solutions to hide clutter and add some
decorations to brighten up the room such as mirrors and 1 or 2 pieces of artwork. The room is small and has low ceilings, so it seems closed in and dark. We will
be using bright white trim and silver and gold accents to help reflect light.
