I have taught grade two an English lesson, about how to give instructions, I have select 3 LO’S
for the lesson from three different goals in listening students will be able to listen and understand
familiar words and set phrases in very short and simple texts on familiar topics, in reading student
will recognize the effect of word spacing and simple punctuation when reading and in writing, to
write the most common high frequency words correctly and in speaking student will pronounce
learned words using correct stress and intonation.
I always try to make different worksheets and activities to the special need student to cater there
needs in the class, also there is a special need teacher she helps the student to finish their work in
the class.
Teachers always should to use positive reinforcement in the class to encourage the student, even
if there has done not well work, teacher can use the positive reinforcement so student can feel it’s
okay if we have mistaken and we can fix it, to me I always use the reward stamps that include a
positive and encouraging words such as ( nice work, well done ,awesome, very good, fantastic
and super) ,by stamp it at their work that they have done or their hands, this way word really
works for student and they finish the work fast and well to get this stamps and these words in
their hands.
The aim of my lesson was how the student will give instruction (Prepositional).
My student already has an idea about Imperatives, my lesson was how to prepositions of place
using some specific words according to their book (under, on, next to).
At the end of each lesson I should to give them an idea about the next lesson topic by asking
them question or let them think or search about the topic.
My lesson was for grade 2 students, I have done It in 6th of November 2019, my learning
objective or goal was how to how to manage my lesson time in 45 minuets, because I always take
more time in plenary of the lesson, so I try my best to achieve this goal, so I but some steps to
myself to follow by prepare everything before the lesson start from worksheet, materials, the
second step is to open a timer for myself so If I take more than the times that I but the timer will
start to alert and I can be aware that I take more time for it.
I have done this lesson with grade 2/F, they were doing very great in the lesson, it was a very
smooth lesson student respond to me in a very good way and they were active.
I was focusing in this lesson in one activity, student have use their activity book and learner book
as a resource, at the first of the lesson we play a game which is it student roll is to give an
instruction to their partners and the partners should to follows their instructions, then learners
swap roles using the vocabs of the lesson , after that students solve their activity book to find the
missing word in each sentence after they figure out the word they draw the place of the missing
word.
At the end of lesson, I achieve my goal, I finish the lesson on time I have done all the activities
on the lesson and I have achieved all the outcomes of my lesson.
To be perfect in future I should to develop some skills, to be stricter with behavior, to observe all
the student in the classroom, to be more organized, to always willing to go that extra mile to learn
to get more knowledge and find imaginative ways to make learning fun and attractive the student
to the lesson.
