Effectiveness of Citizenship Advancement Training in Developing Patriotism and Discipline among

Grade 10 Students of Pasig Catholic College for the School Year 2019-2020

Good day! We are the representatives of our research group from Grade 10 – Diocese of Marbel and we thank you
for your kind consideration in participating to our survey. Our research, whose title is aforementioned above, talks about
the effects and the overall efficiency of Citizenship Advancement Training on the academic and social lives of Grade 10
students. Rest assured that every response we gain will be purely confidential, nor will this be announced to peers outside
our research group. It will be completely anonymous.

1.Citizenship Advancement Training has helped widen the


scope of my knowledge and understanding about military
tactics, activities and the like.

2. Undergoing C.A.T. has encouraged me to partake in the


programs of the government regarding the different issues that
the Philippines is facing right now.
3. C.A.T. has instilled a sense of nationalism in me which drives
me to contribute more to the society I live in.
4. The lessons in C.A.T. helped me learn what to do in unfamiliar
situations such as during times of war and chaos.
5. C.A.T. enhances my interest in voluntarily performing social
activities like joining organizations on and off campus.
6. Citizenship Advancement Training taught me about the
importance of discipline and applying it to my everyday life.
7. Through C.A.T., I realized my purpose as a functioning
individual and the methods I can do to fulfill this purpose.
8. With the help of C.A.T., I realized that I can do something for
my society in order to change it for the good.
9. C.A.T. made me understand the concept of “bayanihan”, in
which all individuals forming a society should work together to
achieve their primary goal: peace and development.
10. Through C.A.T., I am encouraged to uphold the school rules
and regulations and to live as a Person of Character and
Competence, even when outside the campus.
11.Through Citizenship Advancement Training, I realized the
importance of volunteerism and civil acts.
12. C.A.T. has helped me become more equipped with military
knowledge and understanding.
13. I have gained more interest for military activities and the like
after undergoing C.A.T.
14. I believe that I am more encouraged now to participate and
volunteer for programs and organizations that focuses on social
welfare and development because of C.A.T.
15. Because of C.A.T., I am driven to influence others to become
volunteers, just like me.
16. I believe that C.A.T. has helped me become a more
disciplined person, which is evident on my Conduct and RHGP
grades.
17. Through Citizenship Advancement Training, I have
refrained from breaking the school laws and policies.
18. My OSA records are so much better than last year’s, now
that I am undergoing C.A.T.
19. C.A.T. has instilled a sense of responsibility in me,
encouraging me to be more cautious of my actions and their
effects. This is reflected in my Conduct and RHGP grades.
20. I believe that because of C.A.T., I am now a better person
than last year, which is evident on my OSA records and RHGP
and Conduct grade.
