REACTION PAPER; CRAZY RICH ASIAN

The movie crazy rich Asian is really a breathtaking movie that is needed to be watch
because it really gives us many life lessons that will surely inspire us to become a better person.
‘Crazy Rich Asians,” is all about people who have it all, and who succeeds in having almost all
on its own ambitious terms and also it gives us the idea of what sort of wealth do I want to leave
my kids? What are the keys to true happiness and sustainable joy?

The realization that I had from the movie is that it really has a connection in globalization
and I tell you that if you will really watch the movie you can see the connection because it was
greatly showcased in the entire movie. If you notice in the first part, it is all about a family of
rich people who is from Asia who bought a known hotel in Europe. This part tells us that
international trades is really happening and have been happening for the longest time already.
And that made me really believe that in that part you can now see the connection in
globalization.

In the movie it is really important on having a strong identity in order for Rachel to fit or
suit to her future family. And I think that characteristic can partly be found in the character of
Rachel Chu who comes from a working-class background and was raised single-handedly by her
mother, an illustrious woman. Rachel grew up under her wing and now earns a respectable living
as an economics professor. Rachel is filial, has a strong mind of her own, and is unfazed by how
wealthy or poor her boyfriend is, that is, until she finds out that he’s the heir apparent to a huge
global empire and their relationship comes under strain from his family’s scrutiny. She is
intelligent, well-mannered and able to carry herself in tricky social situations. But what stands
out is her character; although she has the choice to marry Nick, she turns him down as she did
not want to drive a wedge between him and his family, for whom her social background becomes
a bone of contention.

Nevertheless, I know that there are more scenes in the movie that will surely prove us the
connection of the movie to globalization but I will not enumerate them one by one. But this
movie made me realize aand believed in the saying “birds with the same feather flocks together”
yes we all know that it is really happening for the longest vtime that the rich people will always
have a rich partner that will probably continue to be with them that only death would set them
apart.
We must bare in our mind that wealth is not about getting everything we desire in the
world. Sometimes it entails giving away a part of ourselves and learning to step aside. But it is
about understanding that when we need strive harder to win something small, we end up
sacrificing something bigger that might be more important.

I will end you a quote saying “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what
we give.” This will surely motivate us to become a better, bigger and bolder person.
