One of the largest contributors in the economy of the first class municipality are the
numerous huge plantations surrounding the shore of Calaca, Batangas. Here are the list
of significant business establishments within the town:
Balayan Distillery Inc. – Manufacturing Customs Bonded Warehouse
Balayan Distillery, Inc. was founded in 1999. The Company's line of business includes
the manufacturing of industrial inorganic chemicals.
Located Barangay Talisay Calaca, 4212 Philippines. It
has 170 number of employees.
Balayan Distillery Inc is based in Philippines, with the
head office in Batangas City. It operates in the
Chemical Manufacturing industry. In its most recent
financial highlights, the company reported a net sales
revenue increase of 46.89% in 2015. Its’ total assets recorded a negative growth of
7.65%. The net profit margin of Balayan Distillery Inc increased by 10.73% in 2015.

Registered TAO Commodity Trader, Inc. is the largest trader of molasses in the
Philippines – capturing a 35% share of the market. It manages its own vessel /barges
and three molasses terminals located in CDO, Batangas and Negros Occidental. Twenty
percent of its total volume is exported to Far East Asia through traders such as United
Molasses, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., Peter Cremer GmbH to name a few.
Manufacturing Customs Bonded Warehouse
Type D and E customs warehouses are private customs warehouses, which means that
only the administrator (warehouse keeper) is allowed to store goods in them. These are
owned and managed by the Balayan Distillery Inc. and are used exclusively for their own
distribution activities.

Calaca Industrial Seaport Corp. (formerly Phoenix
Petroterminals & Industrial Park Corp.) is the
landowner and developer of an industrial park
located in Calaca, Batangas – renamed as Calaca
Seaport. Calaca Seaport is ideal to host locators from light to heavy industries especially
those that are reliant on water transport.
Calaca Industrial Park Corporation has been assessed by AJA Registars and was issued
with the Certificate of Registration for the successful completion and registration of CISC
Management System on Industrial Estate Development and Port Operations of ISO 9001:
2015 requirements.

Calaca Seaport is located in the high-growth sector of the Cavite Laguna Batangas Rizal
Quezon (CALABARZON) zone. It is situated at the southwestern mouth of Luzon along
the western part of Batangas Province in the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas. Calaca is
a coastal town in Batangas bound by Balayan Bay on the south. It is a plain near the
shore, gently rolling in the middle and going steep on the northernmost part adjacent to
Gulod ng Batulao. It is situated east of the municipalities of Balayan, Tuy, and Nasugbu,
and west of the municipalities of Lemery and Laurel. It lies with the southwest slopes of
the municipality of Talisay. It is located along the deepwater portions of Balayan Bay
where its has it port facilities capable of handling vessels with draft of 14 meters. It is ideal
to host light to heavy industries especially those that are heavily reliant on water transport.

One of the unique features of Calaca Seaport is that it has its own port facility that caters
to the shipping requirements of its locators and other shippers in the vicinity. Calaca
Seaport operates an ISPS-compliant, multi-purpose port facility capable of
accommodating up to 60,000 DWT vessels with draft of 13 meters. The port caters to
both domestic and international cargoes composed mainly of petroleum products, coal,
salt in bulk, steel billets, industrial chemicals and molasses.

The port can handle 4 vessels with length-over-all (LOA) of 200 meters with a draft of 13
meters all at the same time. Aside from these, the inner berths can handle smaller-sized
vessels/barges.
Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. (PPPI) sold The Company in 2016 to Udenna Group.
With the change in ownership, The Company changed its name to Calaca Industrial
Seaport Corp. (formerly Phoenix Petroterminals & Industrial Park Corp.). Udenna
Development Corporation (UDC), the real estate and property business unit of the
Udenna Group of Companies, owns the Company 100%.
The Company owns, develops and manages its industrial park in Calaca,
Batangas – renamed as Calaca Seaport. It is located along the deep-water
portions of Balayan Bay. It has its own port capable of handling vessels of up to 14 meters
draft, or up to 55,000DWT. It is strategically located in Luzon and is ideal to host locators
especially those that are reliant on water transport.

Calaca Industrial Seaport Corp. is a real estate property consisting of land and the
buildings on it, along with its natural resources such as crops, minerals or water;
immovable property of this nature; an interest vested in this (also) an item of real property,
warehouses are owned, managed and controlled by government as well as private
agencies. Bonded warehouses are storage facility used to store imported goods for which
import duty is still to be paid. The bonded warehouses run by private agencies have to
obtain license from the government. In actual, this enables the government bodies to hold
control on private firms to pay their taxes on time. Without paying duties, importers cannot
take over or open the goods. Globally, it has been seen that these warehouses are found
near the ports and are usually owned by dock authorities. Bonded warehouses are
subject to two types of taxes: (a) Excise duty and (b) Custom duty.
