About CCTNS

• Ministry of Home Affairs conceptualized CCTNS project as a Mission Mode


Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
• To modernise the police force in the field of crime investigation.
• Enhancing Citizen Services.
• Aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the
efficiency and effective policing at the Police Station level.
• Creation of a nationwide networked infrastructure for evolution of IT-enabled
state-of-the-art tracking system.

Objectives of CCTNS

• Provide Enhanced Tools for Investigation, Crime prevention, Law & Order
maintenance and other functions like Traffic Management, Emergency
response, etc.
• Increase Operational Efficiency by reducing the necessity to manually perform
monotonous and repetitive tasks.
• Create platforms at State and Central levels for sharing crime and criminal
information/ databases across states and across the country.
• Create a platform for sharing intelligence across the states, across the country
and across other state-level and GOI-level agencies.
• Improved service delivery to the public/ citizen/ stakeholders.

Scope of Work
Summary
 This SI engagement involves End-to-End implementation of CCTNS solution across 475
locations across Punjab
 Implementation in three Phases followed by 3 Years support

 Supply, installation, testing, commissioning of IT and networking infrastructure.


 Site preparation at Police Stations / Higher offices.
 Design, Development & deployment, testing, integration of CAS (state).
 Design, Development & deployment, testing, integration of other existing & advanced applications.
Setting up of IT & networking infrastructure at Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre.
 Data migration/ Data digitization.
 Capacity Building & Change Management.
 Handholding for 6 months.
 Operations & maintenance (3-years) of computer hardware, system software, networking,
application software covering PS, Higher Offices and Data Center and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites.
 Set up help desk
 AMC for all the hardware and third party software for three years after Go-Live
