ADDITION OF
INTEGERS.
To add integers with the same sign, add
the integers and copy the common sign.
Example: 8 + 12 = 20
-12 + -11 = -23
To add two integers with different signs,
subtract the integers and copy the sign of the
integer with greater absolute value.
Example: -12 + 6 = -6
9 + -14 = -5
8 - 17 = -9
