Internship Portfolio Format 8th Sem.

Students are instructed to submit 2 copies of their training portfolio to the college by March 30th, 2019. The portfolio should include a cover page, bonafide and completion certificates, table of contents, details of projects worked on along with relevant drawings and photographs, and a bibliography if applicable. The portfolio must be compiled and bound according to the specified format and include between 30-40 drawings from the student's internship work.

NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE SUBMITTED:

Students should submit 2 copies to the college before the date (30.03.2019). One will be
retained by the college and the other will be returned to the student after the review.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED FOR THE PREPARATION OF TRAINING PORTFOLIO

1) Collect the joining letter or offer letter from the office - mentioning the joining date.

2) Check whether all the monthly reports have been sent.

(Verify with the Internship co-ordinator whether it has reached before relieving)

3) Check the no. of working days in the office nearly 90 to 100 days. (Except Sundays*
and national holidays)

4) Once serial no 1-3 is completed you have to collect the service letter or experience
letter stating the joining date, completion date, list of projects duly sealed and signed by
the principal architect. (Ask for two copies – college, for your reference)

5) Take all the project work involved by you from the date one to end, it may be a pencil
sketch or construction drawing.

6) Compile the Practical Training Portfolio with about 30 to 40 drawings from the work done
by you in the office. (All drawing sheets should be sealed and signed by the Principal
architect)

7) All the drawing should be readable. Works should be in A3 sheets, Master plan
& Site plan in A2 or A1 sheets as required.

8) Report binding in A3 format (should not do spiral binding) (A2 or A1 Sheets should be
folded to A3 formats). Take all the drawings 2 sets (college, for your reference).

9) Index – Project title with client name, location, page no.

10) Description of the projects. (Filing of project sheets as described in the index
with description - about the work, your involvement in the project)

Special study involved by office or attended conference, seminar etc., Case


study documentation (composed to A3) of the Architect’s work by you.

Bibiliography. (If any)


ORDER OF THE CONTENTS IN PORTFOLIO:

1. Cover Page stating ARCHITECTURAL INTERNSHIP PORTFOLIO (including your


name,anna univ reg no,semester and college name.)
2. Bonafide Certificate (A4 sheet) and Completion Certificate (should be taken in office
letter head ) (A4 sheet) (Both A4 can be arranged to a A3 sheet). (Both Attached
Below)
3. Index
4. Project details with drawing

Table of contents - The table of contents should list all material following it.

Projects – This section will consist of a write up about the projects worked on along with
relevant drawings, site visit photographs. Necessary explanatory text has to accompany the
photos.
