BNHS COMPUTER LABORATORY RULES Formatted: Centered

1. Computer Laboratory users must sign in and out of the lab.


2. NO FOOD AND DRINK OR IN ANY FORM is allowed in the labs.
3. Printers and photocopiers are NOT for personal use for students.
4. TURN OFF CELL PHONES! If you need to use it, please take it to the hallway.
5. No pornography, cyberbullying, games, Facebook and you tube is allowed.
6. Lab users should maintain professional and courteous communication. Electronic devices should be
used on a professional level. No obnoxious or belligerent behavior will be tolerated.
7. Please operate the equipment with respect and care.
8. Activities in the lab(s) that are considered by the lab in charge to be abusive to the software,
hardware, and\or personnel may result in expulsion from the lab(s) and denial of future use of the
lab(s).
9. Paper being discarded should be placed in a recycle container.
10. The lab in charge is here to help when he can and to maintain the labs' operation. However, the lab
in charge is not here to do your work for you.
11. Software may be installed by Computer Labs in charge only. Do not install any software on your
own. Files not put on by Computer Labs in charge will be routinely removed.
12. Do not modify any software or files. Do not overwrite the operating system, modify the
autoexec.bat or config.sys or any other system parameters.
13. For any hardware, software, printer problems, please contact the computer lab in charge.
14. Any failure to follow these lab rules may result in the loss of your lab privileges.
15. Students and teachers are prohibited to stay or stand by inside the computer lab.

BNHS GUIDELINES FOR STUDENT ACCESS TO THE INTERNET


Priority will be given for SUBJECTS related to the use of computers in the lab. Formatted: Font: 8.5 pt
Access to pornographic sites will not be allowed.

Students are expected to act in a professional manner in the computer labs.

Signs will be posted in the computer labs that indicate that objectionable images might be present on computer screens in the labs.

Printing of web site images and pages must be for academic purposes only. Arrangements must be made with a lab aide to print
images that could be visually disturbing to other students.

On-line chatting will be allowed only for academic purposes

CONSEQUENCES:
First Violation: The violator will receive a written warning from the Computer Laboratory in Charge outlining the consequences that will
follow if there are further violations.

Second Violation: The violator will be banned from all activities in the computer lab for the remainder of the term in which the
violation occurs.

Third Violation: The violator will be permanently banned from activities inside the computer labs. The violator could appeal any of
these actions through the Guidance office.
