BLW 201 Lecture 1

Law is a body of rules that governs society and establishes order. Without law, there would be anarchy. There are different types of law that serve various functions. Procedural law establishes how laws are made and enforced. There are public laws that govern relations between government and individuals, and private laws that govern relations among private individuals and entities. Sources of law include constitutional law, judicial law like common law and equity, legislative law such as treaties and executive orders, and administrative law created by government agencies.

i. Laws issues by President of gv'rner of state
4. Administrative Law
a. Body of law created by administrative agencies to carry out their
regulatory powers and duties
