a) To determine the relative location of objects using terms near and
far.
b) Understand the importance of being near and far from their family.
c) To draw objects that is near and far for each other.

IV. Lesson Procedure


A. INTRODUCTION
 Prayer
 The teacher will be presenting different objects. She will be telling them the
name of the objects and let the students repeat what she said.
 Then the teacher will ask the students:
If the basket and the apple are close together, you called that?.. Near
If the basket and the apple are not close to each other, you called
that?.. Far
 Lastly, the teacher will ask the students “Is your teacher near or far from
you?”

B. INTERACTION
 The teacher will start her discussion and will be showing pictures about
near and far.
Near – it is something that is closer to you.
Far – it is something away from you.
 Afterwards, the teacher will divide the students into 4 groups. Each group
should have at least 2 representatives; the teacher will present some
pictures that show the near and far objects and those who first come in
front will have a score. (There will be 10 pictures)
 After the groupings the teacher will announce the group who wins and will
recap the lesson as well.

C. INTEGRATION
 After the recap, the teacher will ask some students to raise their hands if
their parents or relatives are working abroad. The teacher will share her
thoughts about being away from the love ones who worked hard just to
help them finish their education. The teacher will also remind the students
on how important family is, and even if they are far away from each other
they are just here supporting us (students).

D. Evaluation
 The teacher will give a worksheet in order to determine if they really
understand the concept of being near and far.
E. Assignment
Each student will draw near and far objects in there math notebooks as
their assignments and they will colour it with their colouring materials and
present it to the class and tell which is the near and far.

CRITERIA
Neatness - 10 pts
Creativity - 10 pts
Explanation - 5 pts
Total: = 25 points
