LED WD on the front plate shows the existing fail-safe watchdog signal.
By the second LED SEL the access to the IO modules of the appertaining
IO subrack is signalled. Via the shrouded switch WD the WD signal can
be switched off to change the coupling module F 7553 without releasing a
system emergency-off.

The coding switches S1.1 ... S1.4 serves the setting of the numbers for the
IO bus (cabinet) and sub rack:

The coupling module consists of the monitoring of the 5 V supply of the IO
subrack and transmits a corresponding status signal to the central modu-
le.
The module is automatically tested during operation.
