Math 55 PDF

This document provides the syllabus for a course in elementary analysis III. The course covers directional derivatives, extrema of functions of several variables, double and triple integrals and their applications, vector fields, line and surface integrals, and convergence of sequences and series including power series and Taylor series. The course objectives are to learn how to find extrema of functions of several variables, evaluate double and triple integrals, evaluate line and surface integrals, apply tests for convergence of series, and obtain the radius and interval of convergence for power series. The course requirements include three exams, a final exam, and homework and practice problems. The course outline lists the topics to be covered over 36 hours including functions of several variables, multiple integrals, vector fields
