Dear Fellow Accounting Teachers and School Administrators:

The National Association of Certified Public Accountants (nACPAE), a non-profit organization of Accounting Teachers,
in partnership with PICPA Tacloban City Chapter will be holding its 28th Accounting Teachers’ Conference (ATC)
from April 27 to 29, 2020 at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City. Delegates composed of accounting school administrators
and educators and CPAs from other sectors coming from different parts of the Philippines are expected to participate
in this annual activity of the association.
Inspired by the theme “Living the Role of Learned Accounting Teachers in Shaping a Learned Accounting
Profession,” the conference aims to help the participants better understand the necessary steps needed to be more
effective Accounting educators taking into account current and future direction set by our regulators, research findings,
upcoming enhancements in the CPA Licensure Examination (CPALE) Table of Specifications, role of review centers in
preparing CPALE examinees, and Accountancy education goals and challenges needed to be addressed. This activity is
also an opportunity to recognize the invaluable contribution of selected Accounting teachers in shaping a learned
accounting profession through the years. Moreover, this is a good avenue for delegates to interact and share best
practices with fellow Accounting teachers and school administrators from other institutions.
The conference fee includes the registration fee, food, hotel accommodation, kit, shirt and certificate. This ATC is
expected to afford the participants at most 20 CPD units. The payment scheme is as follows:

CALL FOR PAPERS

The National Association of CPAs in Education (nACPAE) in partnership with PICPA Tacloban City Chapter will hold its
28th Accounting Teachers’ Conference (ATC) with the theme “Living the Role of Learned Accounting Teachers in
Shaping a Learned Accounting Profession” at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City from April 27 to 29, 2020. One of the
highlights of the conference is the research presentation from our fellow CPAs in Education. Thus, we invite you to
take part in “thinking and preparing ahead” and building the future of accounting education in the Philippines.

We welcome paper submissions in the fields of: (1) financial accounting and reporting; (2) management accounting; (3)
accountancy education; (4) auditing, assurance, and information technology; and (5) business regulations.

Please take note of the following important dates:


• Deadline for abstract submission February 17, 2020 (Monday)
• Notification of abstract acceptance February 24, 2020 (Monday)
• Deadline for full paper submission April 6, 2020 (Monday)
• Deadline for PPT presentation submission April 20, 2020 (Monday)

Submission Instructions:
Abstracts for paper presentations must contain a brief introductory statement of the research and continue with the
summary of the results obtained, followed by the paper’s conclusions. Preferably, abstracts must not exceed 500 words.

Important Note:
Inclusion of research abstract in the souvenir program and presentation of research paper in the conference require
complete registration of the researcher or at least one of the researchers in the conference, in addition to abstract
acceptance.

possible sponsors to advertise in the souvenir program. Fifteen percent (15%) of the proceeds from sponsorships
solicited will be applied as a rebate to your conference fee.

We strongly encourage that registration fee should still be paid on the scheduled dates of payment, and rebates from
the solicitation will be refunded during the convention unless registration fee will be paid with the proof of payment
made by the solicitor, then the rebates will be automatically applied.
