Step Up 3D

This document discusses the reasons for continuing to move forward in life despite challenges. It notes that there are two main reasons - blessings and problems. Blessings like family and friends motivate us, while problems can push us to greater heights if we have the right perspective. The document also discusses discovery on life's journey, where we learn about ourselves and God. It emphasizes the importance of direction, making sure we are headed down the right path towards God rather than staying in our comfort zone. The discussion questions at the end encourage reflection on one's purpose and direction in life.

STEP UP 3D

Php 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

 Drive
- What is the reason why I keep on moving forward?
- What are my inspirations? (sharing: Karla or Marlo)

Two reasons why we still choose to live life.

 BLESSINGS
 We are driven by blessings.
 Who would not want to keep on living when life is simply filled with happiness day
by day?
 Blessings can be in any form; they may be your family, your friends, your dog,
your favorite dish, your birthday, Christmas, or even this household.

 PROBLEMS
 Problems can either pull us down or push us higher; it depends on our
perspective.
 Bo Sanchez said we are made like eagles. Eagles don’t fly they soar! Meaning,
they don’t flap their wings, they simply spread their wings and let the wind fly
them. Thus, the stronger the wind the higher they go.
 Many people are successful in life because they went through some suffering. I
know a person, when her mother was diagnosed with cancer she promised her to
herself that on graduation day she will be speaking before the batch for her mom.
So, she studied hard. She was driven by the pain of her mother that had been
her pain as well. And on graduation, she had the chance to give her speech and
bring honor to her mom.

 Discovery
- We now have a drive to keep on moving forward.
- We are now heading on a journey.
- Life is a journey and on this journey we discover the dos and don’ts.
- We learn about ourselves, our capacities, our talents, our weaknesses.
- We discover that earth has so many beautiful creations, your mom, your dad, you
bestfriend, your YFC family, etc.
- We also discover God, His greatness in our lives, His amazing love, His grace and
mercy, and much more.
- We discover all those through the blessings and problems that come along.

 Direction
- We can move forward, yet where are we heading?
- Is the path we are taking the right path?
- Are we directed towards God or are we on the wrong way?
- We can always have a reason to keep on moving but what matters most to know
where we are going.
- As YFCs we are expected to take the path of righteousness.
- Everyday we make choices, whether to take a bath or not, to eat or not, to attend
school or not, to hug your parents or not, to be happy or not.
- We choose our own path because God gave us the blessing of freewill.
- When life is too tough and we just don’t know where to go because steppin up
means moving out of your comfort zone, think about what Jesus would do if He is on
your shoes. Then, do as He does.
- We can never be wrong with Jesus because He is the way, the truth and the life
(John 14:6).
- So, the next time there is a YFC assembly and you are not sure whether you want to
go or not, think of Jesus. (haha)

DQ:
1. Why are you here?
2. What did you discover in this assembly?
3. Where do you want to go? Are you going to carry the cross or stay inside your comfort zone?
