Capstone Script

Our main character finds a duffle bag full of cash in the forest on their morning walk. They choose to leave it and continue on. Later, two police officers question the main character about the bag, having found their fingerprints on it. The main character admits to seeing the bag but claims they left it. Their neighbor Lillian then brings over a cake, though the main character must decide whether to eat it.

“UNNAMED PROJECT”

INT BEDROOM:7 AM

The alarm goes off, our main character turns over and hits
the alarm clock off. They then slowly sit up in bed, yawn
and then get up. This goes into a “getting ready” montage.

INT MAIN FOYER OF HOME:7:45 AM

After getting ready to head off to work they grab their


things for the day, put on their headphones and head off to
the doors

EXT OUTSIDE IN FOREST:7:55 AM

While walking their regular path to work our main character


takes a turn into the side path when she sees her neighbor
ahead of her and gives her a little wave. Once down the
path our main character takes a moment to enjoy the nature
around them taking out their headphones. While looking
around the environment around them they hear movement in a
fern. Going over to investigate they see an animal run out
from the fern. Main character smiles and goes to put their
headphones back in when they see a duffle bag slightly
hidden behind a nearby tree. Going over to investigate main
character knees down to look for a tag. Wondering why it
would be randomly out here our main character unzips the
bag. Inside they see hundreds of dollars in cash. Surprised
our main character looks all around them to see if there's
anyone around. They look back at the duffle bag. Their
first choose is now.

VFX:HAVE A SPLIT SCREEN KINDA GLITCHING EFFECT WITH THE TWO


OPTIONS

Choice One: Don’t take the bag/ Take the bag

EXT OUTSIDE IN FOREST:8:00 AM

Our main character stands up taking one last look around


them and then continues their regular route to work.
FADE OUT

INT MAIN FOYER OF HOUSE:5:00 PM

Our main character comes in their house after work and puts
down their bag on the floor and takes off their shoes.
After their head into the kitchen and makes themselves
pasta. As they are just putting in the noodles the doorbell
rings. Our character heads over to the door and opens it.
Two cops are at the door.
COP 1
Good evening, is this the house of
NAME HERE?

MAIN CHARACTER
Yes, that’s me.

COP 1
My name is Officer(Dean)Wallace
and this is my partner
Officer(Damian)Hartley. We have
recently come across some evidence
in a drug case. It was a black
duffle bag, do you know anything
about this?

Choice Two: Tell the cops the truth/ Don’t


tell the cops

MAIN CHARACTER
Yes, earlier I saw a black duffle bag on the
path I take to work. I found it quite
strange.

COP 2
Where do you work?

MAIN CHARACTER
I work at WORKPLACE HERE

COP 2
What time did you leave for work?

MAIN CHARACTER
I left about 7:40 AM and got to
work around 8:20 AM.

COP 2
Did you talk to anyone or see
anything suspicious on your walk?

MAIN CHARACTER
I did run into Lillian my neighbor
on the way, we only waved hello.
We didn’t stop to chat.

COP 1
Thank you for your time, we will
be in touch.

MAIN CHARACTER
Would you mind me asking why you
think I’m involved?
COP 2 looks at COP 1. COP 1 gives him a
shrug.

COP 2
We found your fingerprints on the
outside of the bag.

MAIN CHARACTER
Oh, I see. My home number is 778-
365-7165 if you have any more
questions.

COP 1
Thank you, we will keep you updated.

With that both cops turned to leave and MAIN CHARACTER


slowly closed the door and let out a big sigh. They turned
to see their pot overflowing. They rush over to turn it
off. With their head in their hands the screen fades to
black.

MAIN CHARACTER is startled awake by a loud knocking at the


door. They found that they had fallen asleep at the kitchen
table. The knocking starts again. They get up in a dizzy
haze and walk to the door. They open the door to see
Lillian standing with a piece of cake in her hands.

LILLIAN
Hello! Sorry if I woke you.

MAIN CHARACTER
No no you didn’t,it’s alright

LILLIAN
Did the cops come by your house
today? I know they came by mine.

MAIN CHARACTER
Yeah they did, sorry if they
bothered you. I mentioned that I
saw you on my walk to work.

LILLIAN
Ohhh, you did?

MAIN CHARACTER
Yeah but I didn’t say anything
more though. I’m guessing you were
just out for your morning walk.

LILLIAN
Yeah I was, it’s so beautiful in
the mornings.
Both go quiet for a second just looking around.

LILLIAN
Well I made some cake and I
thought that I would bring some
by. Was doing some stress baking
after today haha.

MAIN CHARACTER
Aww! Thank you, I really
appreciate it.

LILLIAN
It’s no trouble at all, have a
great night MAIN CHARACTER.

MAIN CHARACTER
You too!

MAIN CHARACTER slowly closes the door as LILLIAN walks


away. MAIN CHARACTER goes to put the cake in the fridge

Choice Three: Eat the cake/ Don’t eat the cake
