ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN JOURNALISM

Journalism is an activity that helps the pupils to be a good writer. It provides many
opportunities for them to hone their ability in writing news whether in English or Filipino.

September 14, 2018 – The Glimmers – the newly established school paper of Eugenio
Llido Ranada Elementary School held its first School-Based Training program on the basics and
work arounds of Campus journalism for 30 hand-picked pupils from grades IV to VI. The said
training was supported by our principal and financed by our school MOOE. The local
government Unit of Polomolok also gave some materials needed for the workshops.

The First batch of writers attended a Municipal-wide Training on Journalism were most
of them won in different writing categories. Khyle Aira T. Yusay first place in photojournalism,
Athena Palacios first place in News writing-Filipino, Cris Divine Cajucom first place in Sports
Writing-English and third place in feature Writing-English, Sam O. Pama Second Place feature
writing-English, Keira Gomez third place feature writing- English and, Zeon Nacional fifth place
in Science Feature.

The selected campus journalists also participated in the Division Schools Press
Conference held at T’boli, South Cotabato, all the expenses were financed by our school MOOE.

Journalism is an activity that helps the pupils to be a good
writer. It provides many opportunities for them to hone their ability
in writing news whether in English and Filipino.

on Journalism

B. Number of Participants: 30 hand picked pupils from Grades IV-VI.

mentor our pupils in ONE-DAY SCHOOL – BASED TRAINING WORKSHOP ON JOURNALISM on
