INSET on the Revitalization of Child Protection Policy

I. RATIONALE
Changes in program implementation in any department are not as easy to digest.
Constant review and clarification of different view are needed to have understanding of the
rules and regulations set in an organization for proper implementation. The full and inevitable
implementation of the Child Protection Policy has put some of the people in the field hesitant
and unaware of other rules and responsibilities given to school heads and school guidance
counselors. To equip oneself well, the school heads and school guidance counselors are making
their own initiatives to welcome DepEd Child Protection Policy in its full sense through different
seminars or INSET’s available in the field.

It is our very own duty to benchmark others point of views about the new programs
developed and to be implemented in the field so the people and the work will meet at the
center and will work together for the improvement of the educational system.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. To equip school heads and school guidance counselors on what is DepEd Child
Protection Policy and how School-based child protection policy is formulated
2. To make the school heads and guidance counselors aware of the duties and
responsibilities added on their shoulders in effect of the full implementation of Child
Protection Policy

III. TRAINING METHODOLOGIES

The facilitators used lecture and hand-on methods/power point presentation.
School heads and school guidance counselors will bring their own lap tops.
